posted a message on Barbarian Tales part I - Machinima

(edit: accidently uploaded this in the fan fiction section last night.)

Hey guys, it's Danion and I have something amazing for you guys to see!

    Barbarian Tales - Part I!

Some of you might remember my previous Diablo Machinima about the Sage Kings and even though I had a lot of fun and enjoyment creating that small movie, it did not quite hit the mark.

So, for these new, revised series I decided with a different approach. And that is what you will see here before you, an amazing adventure set out in Diablo after Malthael's defeat with a much more deeper and enriching story for its future!

After Diablo's defeat and the entrapment of the Soulstone, Malthael stole the stone and used it for himself. The hero of the story, a Barbarian, eventually succeeds in defeating Malthael, but while he does so all the spirits within are released once more.
For a time peace, although yet savage times were still ahead, returned to Sanctuary and the heroes used their power to hold what was left of the demons at bay.
However, during a raid from Demon Hunters, they stumbled upon something... Something that gave even them, a chill down their spine...

"The demons call him: "The Ancient One"

It has taken me, Many, MANY hours in realizing this project. And since this is only Part I, I most likely will spend many many more, but I like the challenge. Diablo comes with a lot of UI restrictions, as well as many other limitations. (Some of you will recognize some of the clips used for in this movie and I have written permission from the creator of these clips, to use them.)

Therefore I decided to combine multiple games into one, so that the idea of a worthy movie was still being upheld.

I sincerely hope you like what I have created and feel free to ask any questions on how I did, or what the rest for the story is going to be.

(Spoiler: be sure to watch 'til the last second!)

Yeah, that's true I do get them, 2 times, but they are even worse then what I have.

I want the crit hit chance, and the cold damage on it. Obviously with Dex as well.

posted a message on Opening 205 Bounty Cache's

Hey guys, what's up, Its Danion!

And with the community buff being live, I decided to farm some cache's... And I made it so that my entire bank was full and my inventory. 205 cache's, and I opened them all.

    The result:

A very, Very nice (!) amount of mats, over 100+ items for the Cube and 3 tabs filled with legendary's.

Over ~4000+ bloodshards whom I spend trying to get Gungdo Bracers for my monk... and didn't succeed... -.-

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video and the lovely sound of falling legendary's, drops, cash and stuff.

posted a message on Farming Death's Breath + Uliana's build explained

Hey there Guys, its Danion, and I wanted to show the Uliana's set, on how it works, what it needs and how to make it viable. We will be talking about the gear pieces, the skills, items and how we can use this to make a Very powerful endgame monk but also how easily to farm [Death's Breath] on Torment 8.

The reason I am taking Torment 8 is because its Very fast, there is a high chance of a second one dropping after killing an elite and in this case its quantity over quality, but if you can run Torment 10 just as fast as 8, of course run that one.

Torment 8, with my gear takes around 4-5, depending on mobs 6 minutes to clear, for I am only rushing towards the elite packs. In the guide I explain on what skill to take in order to make that happen, and it results in 15-20 [Death's Breath] a run, going up to around ~250 an hour. All in all, not to bad.

Alright, so lets get into it shall we:

    Gear set

In order for this build and play style to work we are going to need a lot of items. First off, 6 out of 6 of the Uliana's set. One less if you are using the Ring of Royal Grandeur in the Cube.

    Cube:

The flow of Eternity. This weapon reduces the Cool Down of Seven Sided-strikes with 60%!

Madstone: This headpiece allows your Seven Sided-Strike to apply Exploding Palm (Your main damage)

Ring of Royal Grandeur / Convention of Elements. Either of these if you happen to loot a better of the two. However, in the Cube, Convention of Elements will always be 200% damage.

    Rings:

Anything can be used as long as one Convention of Elements is used for the buff towards the cold damage. Or, as mentioned, this ring can also be in the cube if you happen to have better ones in terms of DPS / Toughness.

They have to have a socket + dex / crit damage / crit chance.

    Belt:

Binding of the Lost. This belt gives you 3.0 - 3.5% damage reduction per Seven-Sided strike hit, for 7 seconds, basically with the right Cool down %, this can be up any time.

    Bracer:

Gungdo Gear. Exploding Palm's on death explosion applies Exploding Palm.

Madstone and Gungdo gear, for this build to work, Gungdo is Absolutely needed. Using Madstone will definitely help speed up solo play.

Gems: All above 25 or higher!!

Bane of the Powerful: After killing an Elite, gain 20% increased damage for x amount of seconds depending on rank.

Bane of the Trapped: Increase damage against enemies under the effects of control-impairing effects by 15.00+ % depending on rank. It also applies an aura that reduces movement speed by 30% for surrounding enemies.

Bane of the Stricken: Each attack you make against an enemy increases the damage it takes from your attacks by 0.80+% depending on rank. It also increases damage to bosses and rift guardians by 25%.

    Weapons:

Lion's Claw: Seven Sided-Strikes hit an additional 7 times.

The Fist of Az'Turrasq: Exploding Palm on Death's explosion is increased by 75 - 100%.

    Overall View

The way this build works is that you use as much Cool Down reduction as possible. This will allow you to bring the Cool down of Seven Sided strike back to 2-3 seconds. The way it works with this gear and involving items, is that the moment you hit with your Seven Sided Strike, and Exploding Palm is applied, it explodes instantly, dealing massive damage, which in result if an enemy dies, it also gets Exploding Palm applied to it, which if hit by a Seven Strike 'monk' will explode.

This whole build is build around a massive chain reaction of exploding thunder.

An quick overview for the skills can be found here: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#UVThdP!fidg!YbYcba

    Skills

Left mouse button: Way of the Hundred Fists with Assimilation rune. This increases your damage by 5% for each enemy hit for 5 seconds, which stacks. This should be used in solo play.

If playing in a group, use Crippling Wave with Breaking Wave. This applies a debuff on enemies that lets them take 10% more damage from all sources.

Right mouse Button: Exploding Palm with Impending Doom. You will NEVER Ever use this, but it has to be on your bar else the game simply will not know what rune to use.

First skill: Seven Sided Strike - Sustained Attack. Spirit Spender that allows high damage with the result as explained above with the Exploding Palm.

Second Skill: Mantra of Salvation with the Agility Rune, for increased thoughness.

Else use Mantra of Conviction with Overawe for a high DPS boost.

Third Skill: Dashing Strike with the rune Quicksilver, this will allow you to 'jump' through the level or through walls, which makes it easier to find elites.

Use Blinding speed rune, which gives you 40% chance to dodge for 4 seconds after use, for increased survivability.

Fourth Skill: Epiphany with the run of Desert Shroud. Use this for increased thougness, else you can use Inner Fire for an increased amount of DPS.

    Paragon Points

Core: Max out your movement speed. Dump in Dexterity.

Offense: Cool Down Reduction > Critical Hit Damage > Critical Hit Chance > Attack Speed

Defense: Resist All > Armor > Life > Life Regeneration

Utility: Area Damage > Life on Hit > Resource Cost Reduction > Gold Find

    Overall View

Its a great way to play, the only downside is that it can take a long time to get all the items, and then the perfect rolls for it, however, when you have it, its a Major blast and you have one of the strongest builds in the game.

posted a message on Barbarian Waste set guide

    Hi guys, Its Danion!

And I wanted to let you in on the new Waste Whirlwind set for Barbarians in Diablo 3. This build is very fun, very powerful and with the simple swaps of a few gear pieces you can have a lot of variations.

For now, I will simply keep it at this build but in the video I go a little bit more in depth what other items can mean for the build.

    Gear:
The Waste set and you need it 6/6 or 5/6 with the Ring of Royal Grandeur.

    Rings:
Skull Grasp (Increases Whirlwind damage by 300-400%)
Ring of Royal Grandeur (Reduces the number of set items needed by 1)

Rings and the Necklace should all come with a socket for maximum damage / thoughness.
Stats should be as followed: Str > Socket > Critical Hit damage > Critical Hit Chance.

Its important to run with a good amount of crit with this build and spending Paragon points into Critical Hit damage > Critical Hit Chance is a good way to gain additional points.

    Legendary gems:
You can take up to 3 gems, depending on your rings and necklaces, and its up to you what suits your playstyle better.

    Bane of the Trapped 25+
Base effect: Increase damage against enemies under control-impairing effects by 15%.
    Upgrade rank grants: +0.3% damage.
Rank 25 unlocks: Gain an aura that reduces the movement speed of enemies within 15 yards by 30%.
The Aura at Rank 25 has no visual display, but it does proc the gem itself; so monsters near the hero are slowed and thus take increased damage.

    Gem of Efficacious Toxin 25+
Base Effect: Poison all enemies hit for 2000% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
Upgrade rank grants: +50% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
Rank 25 unlocks: All enemies you poison take 10% increased damage from all sources.
A popular gem for big damage over time, but less useful for characters who kill enemies very quickly. This one boasts one of the more powerful Rank 25 properties, as poisoned enemies take extra damage from everything, including other players.

    Taeguk 25+
Base Effect: Gain 0.5% increased damage for 3 seconds after spending primary resource. This effect stacks up to 20 times.
Upgrade rank grants: +1 max stack.
Rank 25 unlocks: Gain 0.5% increased Armor for every stack.
This gem adds huge damage when fully stacked, but the stacks take quite a while to build up, and any lull of just 3 seconds resets them to zero. The Rank 25 property is a powerful defensive bonus, especially for melee characters who can keep it stacked and active.

    Bane of the Powerful 25+
Base effect: Gain 20% increased damage for 25 seconds after killing an elite pack.
Increase rank grants: +1 second buff duration.
Rank 25 unlocks: 15% Increased Damage to Elites.
One of the most popular gems, this grants a big damage buff, works with every type of build, and enjoys around 100% up-time in Rifts, where Elites abound.

    Normal gems:
Resistance until you are comfortable with your survivability and then you switch over to the Strength ones.

    Passive skills:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#hckRdP!jgYh!YcccZZ

    Whirlwind - Wind shear.
Dust Devils do increase the damage by 120% (Double and more then normal proc from the Waste Set) but also drains your Fury, making you fury starved almost every few seconds.
Wind shear allows you to keep up fury almost all the time.

    Rend - Bloodbath
Physical skill that does a Ton of damage in combination with Lamentation (belt that stacks rend 2 times) and the Waste set.
If needed, Blood lust can be used in Greater Rifts for survivability.

    War Cry - Impunity
Resistance is key for Barbarians and the more the better. This cry will help you a lot.

    Battle Rage - Bloodshed
Incredibly powerful cry that, in combination with high crit chance does a lot of damage as AoE.
Into the fray can be used if you are low on crit chance.

    Overpower - Killing Spree
A skill that can sometimes be used seconds in a row due to your Whirlwind ticks affecting and gives you have high chance of having 8+% crit for a few seconds, with the chance to refresh it.

Wrath of the berserker - Insanity
Get ouf of jail free card. Insanely strong, very, very powerful and with CD reduction / CD reduction gem, the down time can be minimum.

    Paragon points:
Speed increase up till max and then everything in Strength.

Critical Hit damage > Critical Hit chance > Cool down reduction or Attack speed what you prefer.

Resitance to all elements > Armor > Health or life regeneration what you prefer.

Life per hit > Resource cost reduction > Area Damage > Gold find (seriously, why is this even a thing... gold find, really? )

I hope you enjoyed this little yet extensive guide and if you have any question, hit me up with them.

    Keep on winning guys!

posted a message on Elemental Wizard 2.1 - Tal Rasha's Madness
Aye, and I am pretty sure that most builds have been thought up by now :P
I always use Arcane Torrent in my builds, for once I decided not to use it, but I have to agree, Arcane Torrent, especially in 2.1, is Very powerful.

For demonstrating I always run in a lower setting. If I go higher I have this urge to make epic kites and awesome skills that fail constantly.. thus it takes longer to create a video ^^
But Aye, My season Wizard has the gear my normal Wizard wants, and visa versa...

posted a message on Elemental Wizard 2.1 - Tal Rasha's Madness
    Hey Guys!

It's Danion and I have a very interesting and exciting build for you too check out!
Always wanted to feel like a master of the Arcane, bender of the Wind or fire conjurer, but then all at once?

Well, now you can! There is a small minor detail though, you're going to have to acquire the 4th set bonus of the Tal Rasha set. This might seem like it is a lot of work... but so are other sets / items
(also, additional items are not needed for the build, but really add up to it as an really good and strong asset)

What does the build do exactly?
I am always looking for a new and interesting way to play the game and so far the 'most' used builds are very strong, but not really a lot of fun. After a while, you're kinda getting bored with it.

So I came up with this build that uses various items and abilities that really use almost all of the elements in the game.
And the result, if you have the required items, is a Really strong, yet amazing and fun, Wizardy Gandalf throwing madness of elemental chaos! There is elemental energy all over the screen and mobs are dying left and right!

Since some of you mentioned a written guide instead of a simple advertisement for a video thread, I have done so as well.

    The Guide:

The build focuses itself on the 4th set bonus of the green set called: Tal Rasha's (item name)
The 4th setbonus allows for a meteor to come down every 8 seconds with a chance on hit , between elements. That means that all damage done by a single element can spawn a meteor from that same element, with a 8 second cool down.

But the mean reason is to have a fun yet exciting wizard that allows you to really feel like master of the elements, since you are using almost all of them. (Depending on said choices)

    Items that are needed aswell:
    Legendary gem: Simplicity's Strength.
This gem increases the damage of you're primary attack by a starting 25% and can be increased by 0.5% ever rank up to a total of 25.

Items that are needed but are optional:
Thunderfury, blesssed blade of the windseeker
    Wreath of Lightning.

Thunderfury, with a good roll is btw, almost all of the times a Very good choice.
Wreath of Lightning is very strong but it also adds up to the madness you seen on screen.

    Skill and rune choice:

Black Hole - Used for dragging mobs on one place. Good for meteors / Twister / Grouo play.
Super massive: This can be used in order to drag mobs from a greater distance in and doing more focused fire.
Spell steal: Increases damage done by spells with every mob caught by 3%. Very strong against big groups.

Arcane Missile - Main damage and doing a lot of damage. Very fast attack speed with ~ 1.5 attack speed weapons.
Charged Blast: Increases the damage by a very good amount.
Congratulate: Very powerful against single target mobs.

Magic Weapon - Increases the damage you do by all abilities.
Force weapon: Increases the damage even further. 20% in total.
Other runes have been tested as well: Electrify & Ignite. Both are not strong enough to be viable.

Storm Armor - Damages mobs from a distance. Automated attack. Can spawn lightning meteors.
Shocking Aspect: Every crit has a chance to cast down a powerful lightning bolt to the nearest target.

Energy Twister - Arcane damage that has a big aoe range.
Wicked Wind: Allows you to place the twister on a location and it no longer moves. Very powerful against big packs that get sucked into one place.

This is the biggest adjustment someone can make to the build. I have tried Meteor as well as Hydra, both are very interesting but in my honest opinion, the Twister outperforms in damage. Although the Hydra could be better on single target.

Familiar: Spawns a boll that attacks when you attack, dealing a lot of damage and cannot die.
Sparkflint: Increases all damage by 10%
Cannoneer: Does a good amount of aoe damage, due to very fast attacks with Arcane Missle, but has a small aoe range: 6 yards.

    Passive skills:

For low torments / Greater Rifts:
Glass canon: A good amount of extra damage. 15%
Audacity: Increases damage by 15% to mobs that are close to you.
Unwavering will: Increases armor and resistance by 20% for standing still 1.5 seconds, and damage by 10%
Elemental Exposure: The talent that falls in line with the whole build: Increases damage for you and other group members for every elemental damage that has been used, with 5%, up to 20% if all elements have been used.

For high torments / Greater Rifts:
Blur: Flat out 17% less damage taken from all sources.
Dominance: A must have for higher difficulty. A very good and solid shield that refreshes itself every time a mob dies. Either by you, or a party member.

    Hope you enjoy!

posted a message on The Great Goblin Farm - Season tip!
    Ladies and Gentleman!

It's Danion and I have something Epic for you to see!

    Goblin farming!

    How?!

    Let me tell you!

We all know that a Season character has some.. troubles getting started, especially in gems, gold but also experience and gear. Basically, a whole new game.

In Act IV There is the Core of Arreat, a very, very small map that will lead you to Azmodan's Lair.
In here there is a high chance of elite packs, cursed chests and bounties. These will give a ton of experience and items.

However, there is also a Very high chance of a Goblin to spawn, and we all know to what those can lead... Exactly! "The Vault"

I did a lot of runs and from my experience these are the 'raw' numbers I came up with.

Everything below Torment is 40% chance or less to spawn a Goblin.
On Torment 1 its around 60% but on Torment 3 or higher it sky rockets up to roughly 85% to have a Goblin spawn.
These goblins alone will drop a nice amount of money, some gems and items. Combine that with the chests, bounties and elites, and then realize you can run this in less then 3 minutes...

Yeah, I'd say, check out the vid and see for you're self!

    Hey Guys!

It's Danion and I have something really awesome to show you!

With the release of patch 2.1 they decided to boost Arcane damage quite a lot, making the previous builds even more powerful.

However, I decided to revamp things and create a new build for 2.1! This one will make you feel like a glass cannon, but you will be able to take a serious beating. (gear and skill are ofc. a big factor)

This is a Very in depth look at the Arcane Wizard and why I pick certain talents over others and what works the best in combination with each other.

posted a message on Machinima / Stop Motion film: The Sage Kings, part 1.
(I had this posted in another section of the forum, but some users pointed me to this section. My apologies if it was posted wrong before.)

    Ladies and Gentleman!

It's with great pride that I finally present my Machinima / Stop Motion film: The Sage Kings, part 1.
It has taken me over countless hours of writing, drawing, filming and above all: editing. But don't forget the painful experiences that come with corrupt files, missing blocks, sound codecs, drawing lines, video artifacts and the list goes on...But, its finally done!Well... atleast part 1 is done ;)
So, what is it all about you might ask?The Sage Kings is a short film done in multiple parts. It tells an indepth lore storyabout the Monks from Diablo 3 and their believes in order to destroy evil in all forms. However I decided to twist our already known lore and add a new dimension to it. With a new and interesting concept I give the Monks a more in depth story in line with a unique drawing style and ingame footage.

"Every hundred years, according to an old, but not forgotten prophecy; one of the chosen that live high above in the Foothills, would transcend his brothers and sisters and become something what we could call: The Angels from Heaven." All lines are voice acted to add the sense of heriocness from the Sage King as well as the enemies he faces. Epic battle music and a dramatic atmosphere are following itself quickly in order to keep things interresting.
So, if you have the time, please take a look at the first part of The Sage Kings!Part 2 is coming very soon and it will future the Butcher and the Skeleton King.

posted a message on Diablo RoS - Wizard 1.7M damage - Stats for Newbs
    Hey Guys!

It is finally here, the break down of the offensive stats! Plus amazing, epic and totally cool intro!!! No, seriously, the intro is really cool! :)

This video is basically made for every new Wizard player out there, to give you a good idea on what the different stats do for a Wizard in Diablo.
For example: Why Attack speed + Area damage can be a interesting build or why you could keep Attack speed low and focus on crit and crit damage.

Nonetheless, I hope I can even give the more skilled player out there an interesting video and might give him or her a couple of ideas as to why and how certain skills, paragon points and stats work with each other.

If you have any questions or want to know more about the build, drop a message!

posted a message on Diablo RoS - Meteor Wizard 1.25M damage
    Hey there guys, it's Danion!

And I present to you, a build that will rain down fiery flames of doom and destruction, meteors of chaos and molten fury of epic proportions!

I bring you, the Meteor Wizard!
First off, this is a gimmicky build, meaning that you will have to sacrifice quite a lot of damage and toughness in order to get the stats and / or items you need. But once you get it rolling, its a lot of fun!

In the video I explain in detail what items are a must have, what passives I use and what skill I picked.
After that, there is a video with some music plus added epicness to show off the build.

The link to the talent calculator is in the description of the video.

    I hope you enjoy!

posted a message on Diablo RoS - Spectral Blade 1.7m damage & Arcane Torrent
Heya Guys, It's a me, Danion (You have to say it in an Italian Accent)

During the last couple of days I have been thinking about what a new and exciting build I could try, but all the time I end up with Arcane. It simply does the most damage of everything, although arguable, other builds can be more fun.
But when I play Diablo in my few hours I have left thanks to a normal job, I want to be as efficient as possible.

So I came up with a video that shows a in depth guide on how to play a Melee Wizard (Spectral Wiz) and in such a way that you can use this build very effectively without much gear. A added bonus: It's a lot of fun.

I already did a very in depth guide on the Arcane Torrent version of the build, but I decided to compare the two while running a single rift on Torment 1.

The conclusion is that the Arcane Torrent build goes faster, but the Spectral blade is not very far behind. The only real downside so far with this build; in RoS they added a lot of fast moving and jumping ranged mobs. They can be quite annoying.

It's a 'long' vid, but only a couple of minutes longer then my previous one :)

    Hope you enjoy!
