Worst so far was rolling a pair of bracers for Poison damage 13 times, only to get better bracers the next day. I mostly put myself on a limit when re-rolling though these days, precisely cause of stories like in this thread. I've only had 1 or 2 items that I would consider worth rolling till I get it right though, and both have rolled pretty much perfect with only a few souls.
I sharded a Starmetal Kukri very early after release. Don't remember the stats on it, but it wasn't good enough to use over what I had at the time and certainly didn't have a socket.
The Soul it gave me probably went into a pair of bracers I enchanted 13 times to get Poison damage on it and wore about 1 day after I finally managed it. It was the first time I decided I was not going to shard stuff again cause I needed Souls to make a passable item maybe decent, and there have been many times since.
Yeah it seems to play apart in what item skills work or not. Higher angelic power if required means more powerful item skill?
Yeah and with there being at least 3 different ones I assume it's something about your character that you can customize. Good chance there's more than these 3 powers too.
I like the idea of being able to choose to go different directions even with similar skills and talents, if that is what this is going to enable.
Great update. Wonder what the "Angelic Power", "Demonic Power" & "Ancestral Power" is about though on the gear, cause it sounds like it's very important and central to how gear works.
