ladder doesn't change any aspect of the game outside of creating another environment where based upon what they stated will have ladder specific items, achievements, and a leader board or something tied to people who hit 70/difficulty/experience/whatever.

As far as being ''forgiving'' or not, it has nothing to do with time frames or if the specific GM is in a good mood or not, if they determine AFK farming is an offense that is bannable..they'll do it..or they might just suspend anyone or hell they may do nothing at all but fix the problem
