posted a message on leap quake element

Short answer is no. It doesn't have to be physical.

But if you want the most damage then it should be.

    Most people are using:

    Ancient Spear - Boulder Toss

    Leap - Death from Above

    Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash

    Threatening shout - Falter

    War Cry - Veteran's Warning/Impunity

    Earthquake - Cave in

The reason this is good is because everything is physical. And the base skill Avalanche is physical. So even though you don't have it on your bar it still gets a bonus. This way everything benefits from +physical dmg.

If you switch to cold then you have to sacrifice some things. If you run the same setup and just switch the rune on Earthquake and stack cold damage then your Bouldertoss and Avalanche don't benefit. If you also want to run with the cold Avalanche rune then you have to sacrifice ALOT of damage. Cause then you have to remove one of the skills that procs your weapon or belt, removing alot of "free" damage.

There is sort of better control with cold but not by alot. And not nearly enough to make it worth sacrifcing a big chunk of your damage. You get two pull effects and two more then decent stuns with practically no CD considering Fury dumping.

Hope this explains why most people are going physical. But if you find cold effective, fun or anything else positive then by all means play it like that. Another possibility is fire. Earthquake unruned does fire damage so you could swap Earthquake for Avalanche on your bar and get fire damage from both. But with this scenario you loose utility aswell. And Boulder toss damage takes a loss. But experiment away.

How are you liking the set in general?

posted a message on New to Diablo 3 and have some questions

    Limitations and Restrictions

Players on Starter Edition game licences have the following restrictions:

    • Cannot progress past the Skeleton King.
    • Can only create up to 4 characters.
    • Level 13 cap.
    • Matchmaking available only with other Starter Edition players.

Any characters you create while using the Starter Edition will be retained when you upgrade to the full version of Diablo III.

There you have it. Note that the Skeleton King is really early in the game. And level 13 does not take many minutes to achieve. Matchmaking only with other Starter Edition will make it either hard/impossible to find a full party of players or even if you find them you will be finnished with the content you are allowed in half an hour or so.

It should give you a taste of the game. A really really small taste and only of the part of the game that sadly doesn't matter. The game really starts at level 70 for most people.

I am still waiting for intelligent people to read this. Atleast explain why you don't agree with what I said.

Its not that your idea is bad.In fact i too think that a map system is necessary so that we can get a little variety in the game. But "your idea" is just the copy paste of what PoE has and i seriously doubt that blizz will go that way.

I have no idea how close this is to PoE but I wrote this all myself and used the current game mechanics as of this patch to do so. This offers an endless variety which the game needs I honestly don't get where all the hate is coming from.
It's not close. It's exactly the same except for the fact that you suggest the cube be used to manipulate the "books" while in PoE the crafting mats are consumables so you just click them on there. But everything else could be taken word for word from a guide to maps in PoE.

posted a message on Reforging legacy legendaries in the cube

The way it's been repeatedly said it works is that when you reforge it it's like the item just dropped. In your case meaning it will only roll stats that it can roll on the current patch. So you would loose out on the damage I'm guessing.

I have not tried this myself but from the way the mechanic has been described I'm fairly sure you would get a "modern" sash.

You should be able to roll it with the enchantress though. Unless you've rolled something else already.

    Quote from Lillpappsgo-next

Just remember that if the gem is level 25+ it procs itself.

The AOE effect of Seismic Slam is greater then the aoe of the gem. So the self proc would hit only the nearest targets. If those.

Rolling perfect damage will get you 2863.9 dps on it. Rolling Zombie Charger damage will probably never give you a higher bonus since it will have diminishing returns with the rest of your +Zombie Charger damage. And Wall of Death won't benefit from it at all anyway. Rolling perfect damage is nigh near impossible though so if you go that route be ready to spend ALOT of materials.

Pretty sure Tal Rasha's outperforms Vyr's for pushing by quite a bit. People are just playing the new set on PTR cause it's new. And fun!

Taeguk, Pain Enhancer and Bane of the Trapped would give you the most damage. Bane of the Powerfull isn't that great.

posted a message on This game has far too many movement impairing effects

Every class has atleast one way and in some cases several ways to break any CC currently in the game. And there are items that give you immunity to many of them aswell. Krelm's Bracers, Iceclimbers...

Never realized people found it so harsh. I've mostly been focusing on Monk, Crusader and Barbarian the past months and with Epiphany, Akkarat's champion and Wrath of the Berserker I never even thought about it.

posted a message on What build do you guys farm t6 with ?

Easiest solution to your problem would be to run in a group. That way the fast aoe clearers can handle most trash you run into. WW Barb, DH's, Wizards and so on will all melt through trash with barely a pause and you can stop and dps down any and all elite/champion packs you come across.

WD's have been and continue to be on the slower side of speedclearing sadly. But they make up for it in other ways.

Just use whatever you think works better or what you prefer. It shouldn't take you long to gather the mats for a Arcane barb.

posted a message on Should I use Entangling shot or Evasive Fire?

Your best bet for both builds is to craft yourself a ancient Arcane barb with the desired stats until you get something better.

When crafting a weapon don't look at dps. It doesn't really matter. The actual damage numbers is what you want to look at. Get those as high as possible. For Cluster builds you want a high damage low speed weapon. Making every point of hatred hurt as much as possible.

    2. They're reducing proc coefficant for rain of toads which mean unless you have rheno or upcoming belt passive fetishes will spawn a lot less and they spawn slow enough ALREADY, actually in t6 rifts w/o rheno you wont often get more than a handful.

The proc-coefficient of Rain of Toads is being lowered but the procc chance of Fetish Sycophants is being raised so the difference is verry slight. Should not be a problem.
