how i wish we could share our loots rotting in our stash(low dmg. weps, extra set items, non-elemental cc/cd ammy etc...) i salvage a lot of stuff which could have aided some players start farming the mid torments... What a waste

Hi. This might me a noob question but pardon my ignorance. I’ve been going through my newly minted shotgun build crusader, trying ways and means on where/how to optimize additional +% elemental damage, cdr, damage mit as well dps mods.

While going through its cdr, I was surprise that while manually adding them up it sum up to 59.5% taking into consideration 46.4%(profile) are from gears alone.

Helm : 12.5%(gem), Shoulders – 8%, Ring 1 – 8%, Ring 2 – 5%, Shield – 7%, FotF – 9%, Crimson Set – 10% bring it to 59.5% which is more than the optimal number of 55-56%.

Somebody in here might be able to enlighten me. Appreciate the response(s) in advance

I would suggest not to gamble on weapons as the cost 15 gold with so minute chance of being handed by Kadala, that is if you get extremely lucky. I’m basing this on my experience gambling for “darklight” where I already spend 10k+ for the last week.

I would assume that you have no wd legendary gear to build around with so better start on the helm and aim for the “legendary” MoJ(Mask of Jeram) + Tasker and Theo gloves if you’re leaning on the pet build which most wd players are running atm. Aim for the Ukhapian Serpent mojo(re directs some of your damage to you dogs), 3 piece Aughuild’s and Asheara to build your damage mit. I remember that my started my wd on the snake mojo only, some int gears from my wizard and gamble rare items which let me farm T3 right away. Additionally, stack on +%physical damage or if you have a doombringer that would jumpstart your progression. With a better chance of set items dropping now, you will be able complete the zuni/jade/helltooth set in no time.

The best thing about wd and wiz class is you don’t have to worry stacking all resist and just focus on dps/armor/elemental damage.

Yes, build around Carnevil is fun to play but if you’re looking for efficiency, pet and jade build are the way to go.

@Op, if you need a detailed answer to your question no. 2 just search the wd forums for a complete guide to gearing.

Basically, if you're going the pet build, MoJ(Mask of Jeram-not the set 1) and T&T are essential to make your pets hit harder and the rest, decide whether you want to go the physical or fire build. 1 more thing, don't be too concern stacking AR, try to get your armor to a healthy 6500-8000 range which will make your life as wd easier.

I always knew that the Furnace competing for space my stash will be of use one of these days. Glad to have not salvage it.

i'm with you on this, ever since i switch back to my barb after decently gearing all 6 characters i have been farming for that elusive MotE set for over two weeks now, grinding almost 35-40 hours per week. it came to a point last Thursday i almost decided to take a break from the grind because of 2 shoulders set items that drop for me, guess what it was that useless "invokers", 2 IK helm and nothing of the EQ set.

RnG appease me, i was able to complete the Raekor set as a consolation that i mess playing around during the course of the day and luckily i got to loot the MotE shoulders playing the "Charge" build that i have to respecc into a fire build to make it more effecient.

To the OP, what we are saying is you need to have to have lots of time and patience to farm for gears or any specific legendaries you're after. My barb started with mix/match gears, went to BK set(WW), lightning(TF/Odyn/Tvigors), Raekor and hopefully EQ/IK combi set.

for now yes, damage is bit on the low side but since more players(heavily discussed on the forums) are discovering the relevance of the set, in no time we will be able to optimize its efficacy in t4-t5 farming. patience my friend, this might be a start of something good here.

i agree, it's slow compared to pre 2.0 ww/double nado/hybrid build but faster compared to those non-EQ/IK setups(primary > spender type of gameplay) that we have now. as muza said with an optimized gear and a bit of resource cost reduction in gears, one could be WW'ing and sprinting 90% of the time. with my crus gears except for the BK set/belt/gloves t3 speed farming is a breeze.

I can attest to this, did some testing with the set last night and i've seen crits of over 20m when it procs even with my un-optimize gears.

Hey all, I usually lurk around the forums to just update myself on the new things all Diablo 3 related. In retrospect since ROS’s release i did manage to gear all 6 classes decently to farm T3-T4. Sad to say, my barb took the backseat. For the last 5 days, I took him out of the freezer and did manage to loot decent weapons(mms and 300th spear, BK-WB), but none of the end game sets/weps(IK, MotE, Lut Socks, TF, Odyns Son etc…) that most barb class are farming for. Can one imagine 3 set shoulders dropping for you and found out, it was 2x invoker’s and 1x jade set.
IMO, playing the non EQ build seems slow and clunky which boils down to being “inefficient” leaving me exasperated, thus long to at least WW through mobs and be mobile. Fortunately a kind soul gave me a BK-SV to pair with the BK-WB I have in my stash and decided to revisit the WW build(s) focusing more on fury generation skills and passives(see profile below) which I believe is viable in T3-T4 speed/loot farming. With my un-optimized gears(Crus lightning build) T3 rift farming takes around 8-10mins depending of level densities. The WW procs of the set ranges from 16m-22m coupled with BR-BS can easily clear huge mobs.

Pardon my lack of information but I just want to throw this around here.

i was playing on the ptr and did earned around 8-9 paragon levels knowing back in my mind/read it somewhere in the forums that what ever paragon level gains will be carried over to loot 2.0 live servers. unfortunately, it reverted back to 339.

Should i consider myself lucky to have a crusader mace drop for me in PTR? is this a bug? an unfortunate roll of rng? does blizz wants us to test it? or i am getting trolled can't keep it, can't use because of the wipe out once ros goes live.so what is the point of letting it drop in ptr?
Yes, my barb can use it but my mh is far more better by miles compared to it - dps wise.

btw, it is a smart drop "increases the size of hammer" when using the blessed hammer skill.
