@Jaetch: You are forgetting one more thing: Arcane Torrent is the only channeling spell (not counting Sleet storm rune) that can hit something behind the waller's walls. Well, archont's beam can too, but that's it.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

just on the side note: even for ranged classes that are unlikely to find themselves face to face with elite, 500k toughness is all but a minimum for Torment II. No, sure, you can probably try going in with less than that, but you will find yourself dying pretty often...Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
to add one more thing, Azmodan's fireball on TII does 750 000 or even more raw damage. Yes, it is one of the heaviest-hitting attacks in the game, but, still. This is to give you an idea, of what you might need to be able to shoulder, should you fail to get away / dodge.

Also, does splash damage work with "Slain enemies rest in pieces" affix on sword named Sever? If it does, it just ought to be broken...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Damage on offhands was adjusted (unfortunately for us, 60s).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
on 60 the top rolls should be around 100-150; on 70, though, you will see something like 300-375 damage.

Thunderfury isn't restricted to any act. At least it wasn't in the last PTR build. Mine had dropped just before Belial there.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Anyhow, about APoC and what-not. If you are ready to sacrifice two active slots (familiar - arcanot and storm armor - power of the storm) and a passive slot (astral presence), then it is possible to use disintegrate for some very extended periods of time at 1.2 att/sec. If you get lucky to loot 3 pieces on new Tal Rasha / have 4 pieces of legacy Tal Rasha --- 1.42 attacks per second at 117 AP can last you for about 35 seconds. Most packs will die before you go OOM.
And as a hardcore hardcore player, I totally agree about blur. For channeling spells (not just disintegrate, but arcane torrent and frost ray too), it is all but a must. Also, Magic weapon - deflection is a nice way to buff your survivability if you are still lacking it --- that shield can absorb a lot of damage for you as it recovers very quickly and, unlike dominance, will be there when you need... It's kinda hard to keep dominance shield up in the boss / super-tough elite fights, after all. Also, once RoS is out, I suggest Unwavering will as the fourth passive -- it will boost not only survivability, but also damage, and since channeling spells require you to stand in one place, the passive will be buffing us pretty much always when we attack

they drop key only on Torment difficulties.Don't remember the intermediate percentages, but on TI the drop chance is 25%, on TVI - 50%. It also seem that the same rules are applied to the ubers' parts drops.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

An example in order, I s'pose:Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Let's say, your current progress on the level is 2 millions / 10 millions xp. Then, you get the bonus from the pool of reflection, which is 10% of experience needed to fill this level completely: 10 millions * 10% = 1 million But since the xp bonus from the pool is 25%, you will earn this 1 million xp when you accumulate a grand total of 5 millions from your current point (for each million of normal xp you will also get 250 thousands from the bonus pool (which is 1 million)). Hence, the bonus will last till you get to 7 millions / 10 millions xp.
