posted a message on Menagerist Goblin? Where...It's a joke.

Welcome to the world of finicky RNG gods...

I have found 3 menagerist goblins between the patch deployment and the start of the season, and only 1 during the season proper (plvl 580 as of yesterday). Meanwhile, the first rainbow goblin I personally found since 2.4.1 hit happened only two days ago (and it was during a TX public bounty run). C'est la vie.

solo 75 is... scary for casual hardcore players like me... Hell, even gems to 65 is, since you have to go at least 64, and that's... potentially-deadly.

Will probably aim for cursed chest and all bosses to get the stash tab.

posted a message on The conquests are way to hard!!!

I personally never managed to solo 'fast' T-? rifts ever. Regardless of which class I play. Even as DH back when T6 was the highest difficulty I had problems doing even 3 minute runs by myself. Perhaps, I have hands growing out of my a** instead of where they should be growing from? Outside of that, only high GRs are something that I can't - or, rather, unwilling - to do: I'm a HC player only and I'm re-e-e-e-eally afraid of leaving my comfort zone (mid-high 50s in this season).

For me, the conquests from hardest to easiest in the 5th season are: GR55 sets [not done*] >>> no sets GR >>> speed run & avarice >>> set dungeons.

    * granted, I spent last two months playing ME3MP and haven't launched DIII even once...

posted a message on Bug with Morlu Legionnaire Elites Healing.

Morlu legioners don't die on first fatal hit. Instead, they turn into stone statues with like 1% of mob's original HP. If you don't kill this stone statue it will recover to (I think) full health in about 20 seconds.

posted a message on Avarice Conquests in Season 5???

I did the conquest in question by killing a gilded baron in a t7 3-player rift.

Had the Goldskin, the Sunkeeper and Squirt's necklace with some random +%gold on other gear. No paragon points invested into gold find. Should have had a total of about 7k gold find.

Thus, I'd say, this conquest is not that hard, softcore or hardcore.

And, yet, I do. It takes me 13 minutes to reach guardian on 54 - in a relatively good rift, at that.; fail outright if I have to deal with wasps and other annoying ranged mobs. Killing the guardian, though, is still relatively easy.

As for my gear,... Well, that Doombringer is pretty much the best weapon I have available right now, and I will need to do tons of farming before I can afford to roll legendaries in cube (again). And knowing how RNG likes me, it'll take no less than 10 attempts to get anything even remotely usable... Also, is there any other reason why Pig Sticker beyond it having 15-30% to human and beast enemies? I know that there is another dagger with five primaries.

The Endless walk set... Looted a single crappy ring so far. It'll need a total reroll before it can be useful. Haven't seen the amulet yet at all. As I've said, RNG just loves me, so (usually - once in a blue moon it is actually generous to me) it takes me a lot of time to gather the appropriate gear.

As for the hardcore thing... I think that the only places where I had my passive proc were the set dungeons when I did something stupid. Not willing to switch it for something else, though - it's better to be safe than sorry on Hardcore.

    210
is more than enough to solo 60+, even 65, if your other stats are up to
par (vit, str), and it's not just pure thorns from weapon gem and
    legendary gem.

Interesting... I must be doing something very wrong than as while I do pretty alright even in gr52, gr54 is already all but impossible for me due to the lack of output damage.

Sitting on 239k thorns with +57% physical and using hack (cubed).

Switching to Akkarat's shield actually turned out to be a downgrade (!) for me as far as damage output goes. Thanks to building around maximum block chance, though, my survivability increases greatly in this case.

posted a message on 2.4 Roundup - Set Dungeons

The Jade Harvester set dungeon is quite frustrating - from my 20-ish attempts, I've discovered it spawns just enough mobs to complete the mastery objective - you don't get extras and you can't afford to miss any mobs. Thing is, a good chunk of the mobs are stealther writhing deceivers that take about 5-8 seconds to decloak - precious time that you can't afford.

This infuriating design is intended, methinks, to inflate the time spent in these dungeons.

Dunno, aside from the snakes in Jade dungeon taking annoyingly-long to decloak, it wasn't that hard for me. Completed on the first run and mastered it on the 4th or something.

Ulianna on the other hand... it is frustratingly difficult with how sparse the mobs are. There was no time I had more than 15 mobs on a screen at once... Inna is pretty frustrating as well - 10 yards is damn small range, and mystic allies killing everything before I can gather mobs to unleash them don't help any. Raiment dungeon is also pretty hard - it's so damn big and the large area near the center takes a long time to clear... I did all mastery objectives, but killing the entire mob population (had like 50 left).

Delsere is also quite hard, never managed to get 30 mobs under a bubble more than once... and the WoF to repel projectiles... ugh... I'd rather use some other skill, but...

    -----------------------------------------------------

Oh, and the rockworms in Marauder and Tar Rasha dungeons... THEY are really annoying, even if the latter have fixed spawn points.

They did not change anything. It just merges double rcr rolls.

Example; If there's both 45% rcr and standard 10% rcr roll, it will show up as 55% rcr. Try enchanting and you will see that only that standard 10% portion is re-rollable. And if you roll it into something other than rcr, it will come out as the 5th primary.

    Shouldn't the range then be 45% - 60% and not 45% - 55%?
Then again, you might be right and I'm just confused / sclerotic...

A little correction: you don't actually need to own all 6 pieces. You only need to have 6pc bonus active (so, 5 pieces + RoRG works as well)

    Also, while I remember it:

Sometime in November, Yang's Recurve bow was altered. It lost the fifth primary, and RCR was upgraded to 45-55%.

Not actually sure that it stayed like that, but I'm certain, I've had one with 52% rcr during the ptr, which is impossible with 2.3.0 version.

Manticore in one of the last builds had the following:

    • Increase damage of Cluster Arrow by 75-100%
    • [legendary affix] Reduce the hatred cost of Cluster Arrow by 40-50%

I highly doubt that it somehow morphed into what is up there in the notes. There is no way we'd be let to cast such a "powerful" spender for free.

One of the later chapters requires you to MASTER one (and just one) dungeon. Don't remember which chapter, though. Not that it is very hard, at least for some of them...

hm... You only ever need to master just one set dungeon? That is quite strange.

I half expected for them to make it more for higher chapters.
