solo 75 is... scary for casual hardcore players like me... Hell, even gems to 65 is, since you have to go at least 64, and that's... potentially-deadly.

Will probably aim for cursed chest and all bosses to get the stash tab.

posted a message on The conquests are way to hard!!!

I personally never managed to solo 'fast' T-? rifts ever. Regardless of which class I play. Even as DH back when T6 was the highest difficulty I had problems doing even 3 minute runs by myself. Perhaps, I have hands growing out of my a** instead of where they should be growing from? Outside of that, only high GRs are something that I can't - or, rather, unwilling - to do: I'm a HC player only and I'm re-e-e-e-eally afraid of leaving my comfort zone (mid-high 50s in this season).

For me, the conquests from hardest to easiest in the 5th season are: GR55 sets [not done*] >>> no sets GR >>> speed run & avarice >>> set dungeons.

    * granted, I spent last two months playing ME3MP and haven't launched DIII even once...

Morlu legioners don't die on first fatal hit. Instead, they turn into stone statues with like 1% of mob's original HP. If you don't kill this stone statue it will recover to (I think) full health in about 20 seconds.

posted a message on Avarice Conquests in Season 5???

I did the conquest in question by killing a gilded baron in a t7 3-player rift.

Had the Goldskin, the Sunkeeper and Squirt's necklace with some random +%gold on other gear. No paragon points invested into gold find. Should have had a total of about 7k gold find.

Thus, I'd say, this conquest is not that hard, softcore or hardcore.

And, yet, I do. It takes me 13 minutes to reach guardian on 54 - in a relatively good rift, at that.; fail outright if I have to deal with wasps and other annoying ranged mobs. Killing the guardian, though, is still relatively easy.

As for my gear,... Well, that Doombringer is pretty much the best weapon I have available right now, and I will need to do tons of farming before I can afford to roll legendaries in cube (again). And knowing how RNG likes me, it'll take no less than 10 attempts to get anything even remotely usable... Also, is there any other reason why Pig Sticker beyond it having 15-30% to human and beast enemies? I know that there is another dagger with five primaries.

The Endless walk set... Looted a single crappy ring so far. It'll need a total reroll before it can be useful. Haven't seen the amulet yet at all. As I've said, RNG just loves me, so (usually - once in a blue moon it is actually generous to me) it takes me a lot of time to gather the appropriate gear.

As for the hardcore thing... I think that the only places where I had my passive proc were the set dungeons when I did something stupid. Not willing to switch it for something else, though - it's better to be safe than sorry on Hardcore.

is more than enough to solo 60+, even 65, if your other stats are up to
par (vit, str), and it's not just pure thorns from weapon gem and
    legendary gem.

Interesting... I must be doing something very wrong than as while I do pretty alright even in gr52, gr54 is already all but impossible for me due to the lack of output damage.

Sitting on 239k thorns with +57% physical and using hack (cubed).

Switching to Akkarat's shield actually turned out to be a downgrade (!) for me as far as damage output goes. Thanks to building around maximum block chance, though, my survivability increases greatly in this case.

    Set bonus changes are retroactive.

Set items' changes (e.g. guaranteed socket in 2.4 litany/wailing host).... maybe, maybe not.

    • Less room for defensive stats. All those damage bonuses further remove the room for defensive stats on gear.
Tell this to Marauder DHs. We got a certain nice belt that allows us to pretty much forgo half of our defenses: Zoey's Secret. After the most recent buff, it gives 8-9% damage reduction per companion. Case to the point, my hastily-built M6 DH on ptr has roughly 3500 vit, no more than 1000 resists and yet I enjoy over 100 million (!) toughness while having passable 1.5 million sheet dps - and that's even before you take the defensive buff of Wraps of Clarity into account. Granted, this still requires RoRG as for the full effect of the belt (which will be in cube as we want the Witching Hour as actual belt) you need The Cloak of Garwulf equipped.

And now lets turn our attention to gimmick construct like chakram m4/s4 with Aquila Cuirass (in cube) and Zoey's Secret as actual belt: with Shadow power on, you get almost 88% damage reduction out of thin air. Permanently as m4/s4 with chakram uses no hatred. 92% while Wraps of Clarity buff is active... DH might go from squishy little thing to a stone wall in 2.4...

Actually, I believe, mastering firebird is quite hard - you need to kill 20 mobs with revive meteor AND set 45 mobs in 3 secs on fire trice. Mastering Tal Rasha dungeon was much much easier for me.

As for other... unless something really drastic happened to UE dungeon, it should be pretty easy to master; same with marauder one.

posted a message on Is there any advantage to playing HC?

Say, let all mobs on any difficulty have 15% more damage and 25% more health. And you get only half of healing.

Surely, the softcore players won't complain - or will they? - about their mode being easier? And this will make hardcore more challenging. As it is right now, seasons' fresh start is the only thing there to remind you that you're not god-mode outside 35+ grifts

posted a message on Stash space

Storing legendary gems in UI might make leveling them up a bit difficult - no to mention possible problems with equipping any item stored in UI onto the character (gems, both legendary and normal). But this should work fine with crafting mats, as long as Kanai's Cude is redesigned to draw crafting mats from UI instead of requiring you to physically place them in. And while 10 squares of grid isn't all that much - let's face it, most people store only one stack of each material - it's still some much needed stash space. Well, 15, if you insist on keeping transmute essences for gems as well.

Speaking of the Cube, at least for me, a hardcore player, it will solve some of the stash problem by allowing me to reduce any item's level requirement to one (thus, requiring me to keep only one set of gear for 1-70 leveling for each of the three main stats. I like leveling myself the "normal" way). ...Granted, I'll need to grind a ton of lvl 25 gems of ease first... whatever.

Green is reserved for healing; Red for damage you take; Yellow for crits and white for normal-hit damage you deal. - as far as I remember, you can't change those.
