The difference for me was that in D3V, you're running the same thing over and over and over.. with almost a 0% chance that something you actually need will drop. Your only hope is to maybe find something you can sell on the AH, so that you can save up enough gold to buy an item you want that someone else found. ROS does indeed seem to save D3 from this major issue. I also completely agree that repeatedly farming similar content is the whole point of the game, not sure what anyone else is expecting. A ladder might add some replayability, but ultimately you're still playing the same or similar content repeatedly.Quote from ratmaz313
Nothing can save D3. But then again does it need saving in the first place. Yeah sure not as many people play D3 anymore. Thats cause they got bored of running the same old thing over and over and over. But then again...is that not what you do in every game? Sure some games are longer or have a crazy talent tree like POE, but in the long run you either beat the game or cont to run over and over and over. Fixing D3 to just a few people needs is never going to happen. If people are bored or tired and want D3 fixed then move onto another game.
