Most of us agree that the PTR is a playground for testing content for future patches, so that Blizzard can fix any eventual problems. But perhaps there is more to extract from the influx of players queueing to get in to the PTR, namely that the seasons are simply too long? It would be interesting if Blizzard inferred this from the PTR queues and from the forum feedbacks and decided to provide an alternative for players who desire shorter seasons. Personally, I would love to see a shorter and more intense (third) ladder option, spanning no more than a month.
I found only one during my PTR play. And as Ashes said, I heard they are as rare as potions. My advice (or at least what I will do personally) is to reroll sockets on weapon upgrades until you actually have a Ramaldini in your stash.
That makes sense, I guess. Seeing as you are not able to swap gear or change abilities in trial runs or greater rifts. Still, this sounds like a pretty serious possible exploit and I'm sure blizzard will be happy to sort it out before the seasons. Good job discovering it though!
Did it a few times on the PTR, and it is indeed as far as I could tell just a normal Whimsyshire. At least I could not find anything of interest in there expcet for a named mob without any particular loot nor abilities.
I would just like to point out that Ramaldani's Gift is rare. Whilst you might find one tomorrow, you might also have to wait next month. Personally, I would not wait until I stumble across one but rather go for a socket reroll straight away. As for the reroll, I would actually keep the LoH and reroll the Vit, but then again that is based on preference. Generally, getting LoH is far more difficult than getting vitality, and the weapon is basically the only slot where you can get it without sacrificing dps stats. Again, just my opinion.
This was expected. The fact that the new legendaries are tied to the ladder system exclusively, implied that players opposed to the idea of playing seasons would be left in the dirt. By ensuring that the new items are "less desirable", these players can now contently continue to play normal mode.
The ladders are for people who enjoy a fresh start and (somehow) play competitively. I for one love the idea of starting over. I don't think the new legendaries should be the main incentive for people to play seasons, and Blizzard seems to agree on that point.
I'm with the 2-3 months guess. Once they implement the seasons, you can just regard the PTR as a regular season. Thus, it won't really be "useless" to play!
But no regrets here: we wouldn't have known how bad the AH was for the health of the game if we've never had it. Sometimes you gotta experience darkness to appreciate the light.
I shall add a thumbs up. Finally the REAL Prime Evil is laid to rest.

Thanks a lot, Bordackh. That explains a lot. Should sort it out quickly then.

Zwikhd, could you please enlighten me on how to fix it? I did not quite understand what you meant by your second edit.

I have had the same issue for a few weeks now. Had to stop playing the ptr. No idea what is causing it.
