What stands out to me is Blackthorne's pants. For Archon the LoH is near worthless compared to LS so you're better off with either rare pants if you want a lot of EHP or Inna's pants for dps. I prefer inna's because that means you can use crafted bracers, and the combination is about as much dps as you can get out of those two slots, plus you can still get decent EHP from the bracers.
You're using Zuni boots but no 2pc, unless you're just playing around with that puzzle ring and normally use a zuni ring in that slot. Otherwise I'd consider swapping your tal chest for a zuni chest like mine, with high vit and physical resist. That will keep your dps and vit about the same but gain you 70+AR, and it will be cheap, hopefully.
Your VW is very very weak. You can get 250+int, 150+str versions for very cheap (or you could for under 10 mil before patch). Personally I recommend crafting shoulders until you get something with 280+int, 60-70+AR and some life or vit, but cheap VW works pretty well too.
Unless you like the pickup radius for survivability (i.e., you use it to pick up health globes because of lack of LS weapon), I'd consider replacing that with either a CC version if you have a lot of money, or just some 220+int with 50+vit.
In general I recommend waiting at least a few days to make any major purchases, unless the price is rediculously good. It seems like prices are mostly going back towards what they were before the patch hit, but it'll take at least a few days for the market to become saturated with gear.
On a side note, with a little more armor and resists you could easily run higher MP, and likely at least as efficiently for loot as MP0. I run MP6-8 with 320k dps, 416k against elites thanks to SoJ and it's reasonably fast. The higher MP means more loot drops thanks to the bonus item and higher MF for extra chances at legendaries. I'd try at least MP2-3 with that dps. You can clear higher pretty fast but might have survivability issues once you get to MP4-5 since you don't seem to have a lot of damage mitigation.
Loroese already pretty much said it all... I'll just add my 2cents.
Craft shoulders, get Inna's pants with ~80 int and ~80 vit, Lose the puzzle ring, get Zuni Pox, get a crit mempo and possibly a sword with life steal then you can lose the blood magic and also, i'd put a ruby on that sword.
I wouldn't really bother with a ruby unless it gives more dps, and I'm betting it won't unless you go up to Marq, which probably isn't worthwhile compared to other upgrades. Also, if you replace the puzzle ring you'll gain more crit which will probably make the emerald more useful.
For reference, with my setup a Marq Emerald is 1k more dps than a Marq Ruby, but that's with a scoundrel putting me at 49% CC buffed with pinpoint.

I think a marquise ruby gives you a more stable dps as in a higher minimum damage while an emerald will give you those higher crits but your minimum (non crit) damage stays low. Since archon is a continuos beam that ticks every half a second (and up) then it seems like a ruby will be a better choice. However, if you have high APS then an emerald will be more useful. Since i did not go the attack speed route, i put a ruby and i assume the OP does not have the funds for high APS gear neither therefor, the ruby suggestion. But yeah if it's not a marquise, then an emerald will be better.
Assuming the mechanics are similar to disintegrate, the beam actually hits more like 30-60 times per second. The displayed numbers are just the total damage done over that time frame, which is why none of them show as crits, because it's actually a lot of tics and not just 1 damage tic. Because of that the CD from emerald will smooth out very well after a very short period of time, which is why I say use whichever gives higher char sheet dps.
Also, APS, neither from IAS or weapon attack speed, has any impact on which gives more dps. Basically it makes both better in the same way. Weapon damage, weapon bonus damage% affic, CC, CD, and bonus damage from jewelery+OH are the only stats that determine which gives you more dps, assuming you use a black weapon. It gets a little more complicated with non-black weapons but I don't want to derail the topic too much.

Alright. I guess i really like a high dps number on the weapon itself xD
But would you say an archon wiz needs high aps or not? and if so, which breakpoint should one strive for?

APS doesn't matter for Archon wizards. The only time high APS would be really handy is if you're running hybrid and need to spam Living Lightning to refresh (faster casts, more hits, more procs, etc.). Anything that boosts sheet DPS is a plus for Archon, though it's far easier to gear for high CC and CD first.
No, I wouldn't say an Archon needs any specific amount of APS. If you have to refresh Archon much, then higher APS is helpful but with the new mob density that shouldn't be much of an issue. If you still have to refresh Archon often, then you might just be playing too high of an MP.
At high gear levels Archon will naturally have high APS from trifecta pieces, but otherwise it's mainly about how high your char sheet dps is as opposed to having specific values for dps stats.
I went 26 yard pick up because, you know all the little times you have to click 1 second to grab a 3k gold pile? it just felt a lot nicer and more convienent. (that time you spent also adds up unless you dont like picking up gold at all)
i use blackthorn pants for the vita mostly, the hit on life helps a bit for survival.
i grind only on mp0 because everything dies in 1-2 seconds (literally)
i tried mp6 with a lifesteal weap (to tank), and it just takes longer, same loot, (basically i rather go 2x faster with 375% mf than 1x fast with 525% mf)
and i got a shitload of rares from that extra puzzle ring, (i got another puzzle ring on my merc)
(and since i roll on mp0, i dont really need to go over 300k buffed do i?)
If this is all you want to achieve with your archon wiz then yes, you don't need to go over 300k buffed. Hell, i'd even say that this is an overkill for mp 0... Dude, you should atleast go mp 1. Seriously.
Assuming Archon beam behaves the same as disintegrate, Forked Lightning, and other similar channel spells, there's no attack speed chart. The beam simply deals more damage as you raise APS, in a mostly linear fashion.
The LoH procs are approximately 3xAPS per second, if that's what you're thinking. That might have some sort of breakpoint behavior but Loh is terrible for Archon beam anyway and CM doesn't use the LoH rate, it uses a different mechanic.
I do Act 3 Inferno

Oh and i use Unstable anamoly for mp 10 cota runs, other than that it's cold blooded all the way.
Sorry for hijacking the thread.
