I can farm and solo act 1 easily. Even going back to Hell I can pretty much walk through most areas no probably. But I have issues with Act 2. I've always hated act 2 even back in D2. Just hate it all together. So I need help. I don't know what I need to change or if I need to change anything.

Well, apparently I can't make a post to my profile. My user name is Wetzeb#1968 though.
I'm open to any suggestions as far as builds go also. I feel that I do good with my current build.
I would definetly recommand you to take diamond skin and frost nova, especially if you use critical mass. Your problem is that you got no defensive skills and most act2 mobs will be able to get to you. About your gear, if you want to improve your survival without spending too much, i would suggest you look for a better shield (with crit since you have few crit chance and you want more than that with critical mass) since they usually sell for cheap. You might even want to reconsider using critical mass for now since you have low crit chance.
+ crit chance and a ton of life regen got me over that same hump. life regen is a lifesaver for us squishy ranged folk, although prob. more helpful for my WD w/ the pet benefit.

Instead of critical mass what would you suggest? I was using it to get my cool down on my archon down. At lower levels I went intelligence all over with gems. Once I got to inferno I realized I couldn't do that and had to look at what I was doing wrong. I decided I needed more health. As far as defensive skills go I haven't used any at all. My thoughts are to kill before they get too close and if they do get close then archon and melt everyone away. I try to use blizzard as a method to slow attackers down so I can move and re-position myself so that I can attack again.

How much life regen would you suggest? I was for a while using a sword with damage converted to life, but now it does about 3k less damage than my current weapon.
Got rid of magic weapon and took on force armor. I was in a group last night in act 3. Seems to work out better for me. Sucks that I lost 2k in dps but I'm due for some upgrades somewhere.
Still open to other suggestions. Really needing to find a new weapon I believe and some different jewelry.
I can't really tell what is a weak component in my gear and what is a strong one. What I would love to find is some life regen. Only regaining like 43 each second sucks. Not sure if I need to try to make that up on my armor or shield or where ever else it appears on. Also, I need to increase my damage. It works for me in Act 1 farming but it isn't efficient enough for me to try any of the other acts for farming.
There are many more efficient ways to get your life back than regen. You can probably find some good deals regen gear, but that's because it's generally regarded as subpar to LoH or a big enough healthpool to absorb the health orbs that drop before you die.
I once had a chest piece with life regen. But I saw green numbers on a piece I found. Didn't pay attention to the details and sold my old chest piece. I liked how it was always healing me that way if I am in between battles I am still getting health. But finding a replacement hasn't been easy.
Most of my AH searches have to be short and sweet and I usually end up paying a premium because I search for buyouts. I play at a LAN center so time is of the essence for me. More time I have farming more gold I make and more play time I do have.
As far as getting LoH for a weapon I'm assuming that it will break my bank. My current weapon has 960 damage plus some other damage and the intelligence bonus. I would assume to find a similar weapon with LoH it will completely drain what little amount of savings I do have.
Ok. Bumping from way back. Made some changes. Anymore suggestions? I believe now I need boots, shoulders, and jewelry to be better. Can do Act 2 in a group but I just prefer not to even go there. Act 3 on a siegebreaker run I have on average 4-5 deaths.
I guess I should have made a new thread. I love my current skill list. I just need better gear and finding the weak spot that can be upgraded for cheaply is the hard part for me.
I'm stubbornly getting into the whole Crit build. Especially, after getting my new gloves that I got last night. If I change an ammy I can get over 30k dam but it's not worth the 400 damage gain over losing some of my resist.
Edit: I'm believing that I should be at a total of over 2000 intelligence points to maximize my damage. And increase my dex to up my dodge chance. Or is this just blasphamy that I'm talking about?

Thank you for that. First time I have joined a forum with that rule. Kinda shocked me.
Yeah sorry about that, been a ton of bots lately, hopefully it's not too much of a inconvenience and may or may not be temporary.
Completely understand, just caught me off guard. Almost to 10 posts but it's all good.

The build I used to go through Act II was this:

Try it and you won't regret
I have much worse gear than you have and it really was easy after I got the idea.
