If I have to do another Butcher run Im gonna /wrist. Just wondering if my gear is good enough for Act 2 and if anything needs improvement just let me know. I run the basic wicked wind/CM build with a source no shield. My stats are
26K HP
24K DPS
27% crit chance
130% crit damage
16 AP return on crit
830 LoH
59.72% Damage Reduction
Resist average is 557 they all range from 500-600 with Fire and Physical being my highest at 592 and 598
MF with 5 stacks is 260
Am I going to be straight or should I snag another 50 resist all piece? My gloves have 0 resists but they have 182 int, 8% crit hit and 37% crit damage so that would cost me a lot of DPS as those same stats with 50 resist all would bend me over.
OK are Electrified mobs bugged or something? They just fist rape me instantly. Been able to handle everything so far only had problems with a shielding, molten, jailer pack but thats expected but the electrified packs are just destroying me. Its like I have -1000 lightening resists or something.
Lightning hits surprisingly hard. Try to stand back a bit from the lightning elites so you don't get hit by nearly as many projectiles - max range of Arcane Blast is ideal.
You could also try equipping a shield for those kind of mobs, if they're giving you trouble. That's what I was trying to do in Act 3 and it worked well, raising my EHP by some 150k (1400 armor, 130 vit with 8% crit and a little int on the shield). I didn't have too much trouble with electricity elites in Act 3 if I could freeze lock them, but moving into position to be able to stun lock them sometimes hurt bad. It's the Arcane and/or Fire Chain elites that I hate, as well as any ranged mobs that like to flee.
As for your stats, your crit could be improved a bit but the rest of your stats seem fine, though a little more HP wouldn't hurt since it gives a bit of a buffer for large damage spikes. Crit is really what makes the CM builds work so I'd aim for 35% if you can (7 from source/shield, 8 from gloves, 4 from bracers, 3 from helm, 3 from each ring, 6 from amulet, 5 base = 39% crit, so it's pretty easy to reach). I'd even go as far as saying crit > dps since with enough crit you can easily nova lock mobs, even single mobs, in which case dps just helps you kill things faster while crit does that plus increases your survivability.
