Now if you look at out generators,
Arcane missile - 4 AP generated
Shock pulse - 2 AP per mob hit
Spectral Blade - 1 AP per mob hit
Electrocute - 1 AP per mob hit
Prodigy - When you deal dmg with a signature spell you gain 4 AP.
Arcanot - +2 AP/sec
Astral Presence - +2 AP/sec (This is the only one that remained the same)
Magic Weapon - (conduit) - Attacks have a chance to restore 1 AP (This is interesting)
Prodigy has some serious potential for the multitarget signatures, but we still have no idea if it generates 4 AP per mob hit or just on each cast.
On the other hand runes that lower the cost of abilities now actually appear to actually be viable choices.
EDIT: Given these changes, it simply no longer seems worth using signatures to regenerate AP. In order to get even a descent amount of regeneration one would have to use a signature and the passive prodigy. Luckily there is another choice! I am drastically considering dropping the notion of using signatures and simply use the free RoF. Though it is single target only, it hits far harder and doubles as a defensive move.

well still have more ways to get ap from other passives or even gear dont forget that i dont think its worth while to take am sp or spectral blade for it electrocute u could take rune that alowes you to hit 6 targets and then take prodigy of it gives 4 ap /mob hit then it looks good if not i rly dont know have to be tested....damn i hate that part that i cant test something out

It might regenerate 4 AP/mob, or it might only generate 4 AP per cast. The wording just is not clear enough for me to bank on it really.
It seems obvious to me that at max level the +AP on crit was generating too much and they decided to conduct this overall nerf to our ability to get AP.

I'd actually suggest changing the Electrocute skill rune to Chain Lightning, you'll get more mileage with Prodigy that way. The way the passive Prodigy is currently worded and with no internal cooldown, it really does suggest that each individual damage will generate AP. I imagine this will be fixed in future patches by either the passive being changed/reworded or something changed towards the interaction between Chain Lightning and Prodigy.

They nerfed all the regen signs so hard, yet you seriously think they are going to let prodigy just slide on by?

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
