Most wizard fans are prob wondering why on earth they wld want their wizard lugging a sword or an axe. But thxs to the creative D3 team this has all become possible. y waste such a good opportunity, check out this build. if u look at it you would realise one would need a good weapon to deal suffciet damage on this build. but have no fear all the extra critical is gonna help u get somewhere. glass cannon is the trade off tho. we know inferno is gonna be hard and lowering resistance can be a prob but with enough damage u can overcome foe before they lay their slimy stuff ever near u. rmbr " no style she dies"

That's not a true melee build honestly. Spectral blade is a spell, although I'm sure a lot of people would include it in their melee build. But something like this is closer to a true melee build:

All your dmg is passive, except spectral blade...If you can kill stuff, it will be painfully slow.
Ohh and glass cannon seems a bit questionable to me...And why do you have prodigy? You have no offensive moves to spam, so your not going to be spending any arcane power!

Thing is, if you are trying to do melee, why would you want knockback, especially if you want to keep them in your Slow Time bubble? It would seem more effective to trap them with Frost Nova, toss the bubble on them, throw out a Blizzard, and wail away.
If you are melee with knockback, you are just going to end up chasing random mobs all over your screen. Knockback is great for pushing mobs away from you, not helping them stay near you while you peck at them.
Edit: I personally don't see why any Wizard would not want Teleport, but there surely will be strong builds without it.

There is no such thing as a melee wizard...
Explosive blsat + Auto-atk....yah that should kill diddly and squat.
