so ive made quite a few builds and done a lot of messing around on the skill calc and i thought it would be fun to make a build with no spammable spells and insane damage.
i know the first complaint will be about mana, because i dont have any mana regen AND mana costs are increased by 30%. but all of his abilities are fire and forget and have long cooldowns so you wont do any spamming at all.
cast soul harvest, grasp of the dead, spirit barrage, spider queen. and your spirit barrage will last for 20 seconds and your spider queen will seek out enemies for 16 seconds so you dont have to cast either of those for a bit. so you just repeat the spells when your CD's are up and let your pets (4 zombie dogs, templar, gargantuan, spider queen) do a lot of the damage and when enemies die near you you get all your CD's reduced and regain life n mana.
what do you think?

I read it, i was being sarcastic and i still think you won't have enough mana
well let me prove you wrong :P.
the skill calc is mana usage of all spells at lvl 60. the WD mana pool at lvl 60 will be 3250.
soul harvest and grasp of the dead cost around 100 mana. thats it. and he has 60 base mana regen, so even with 30% more mana cost for those 2 he will regen the mana back from them in literally 2 seconds. and thats without any help from gear.
corpse spider queen is almost 500 mana, but it lasts 16 seconds. and during those 16 seconds waiting to use it again, 60x16 = 960, so he will again have plenty of regen. and hex is 300 mana and lasts for 8 seconds, 8x60 = 480. so good again.
casting all spells back to back (again even with 30% increase) is around ~1200 mana, little over 1/3rd of your mana pool. and you regen mana waiting to use them again.
now from the grave injustice passive you'll get 33 mana per enemy death near you and reduce all CD's by 1 second so you may need a little help for mana regen, but you could easily over double your mana regen from gear.
I like your survivability build or dr poison better..
If its all about the fire'n'forget spells, I think I would feel too idle to be engaged in the combat.
lol thanks. im just tryin out more weird builds.
thats the point, this is an ultra lazy build where you fire n forget and let your pets do a lot of the work, lol.

Could work, likely more viable later on when gear can contribute more mana. Yes I get you don't spam anything and shouldn't be spending a lot of mana for your summons, but mana still needs to replenish its self at some point. I think you may have trouble on bosses since grave injustice won't apply in that situation. It would be summon, use harvest... run around for 13 secs repeat, I think this would apply to clearing acts.

ya i really dont make many builds that would be good for bosses. since ill be spending 99% of my time in diablo either going through the acts or farming. right before bosses ill just swap to a boss killing build then back to my other build.

Haha yah gotta love the swapping feature, I don't know how much I'm going to try to pre-plan builds sadly everything seems to focus on what runes I find at what time.

well i guess ill just use whatever drops until i find the right ones and slowly change my build to what i want it to be.
-changed hex to alabaster spirit barrage. went and tested hex more in the beta and he chickens only 1-2 guys at the most then poofs so spirit barrage will last over twice as long (20 seconds) and do a lot more damage and even cost less mana.

I think it's a fun idea. I see only one possible issue: Does pierce the veil increase the damage of your summons ?
The tooltip says "your damage". When tooltip says that it means the value enters multiplicatively in the final calculation. Does the value enters in the final calculation of your pet's damage ? Impossible to know.
If the tooltip said "Weapon Damage" i would be sure it would 'cause pet's damage are based in your weapon damage. Weirdly, "your damage" is more restricted then "weapon" damage once "your damage" is not a sub stat you can boost like Inteligence or Weapon Damage, but the moment wich the boosts applies itself.
In any case you can swap Pierce the Veil for Greusome Feast. Greusome Feast boosts INT which surely will boost your pet's damage. It also adds contributes to your mana management instead of making it harder.

i thought the very same thing. obviously once its released you can easily test this. turn on dmg numbers so you can see all the dmg you do, watch your pets dmg, then put on pierce of the vale and see if their dmg increases. pretty easy.
gruesome feast needs constant health globe grabbing every 10 seconds to keep the buff where as pierce of the vale is constant. and since this is a "lazy build" i dont want to worry about that haha
i think it increases all your dmg by 20% after calculations. like say your frogs do 40 dmg per hit after all calculations from your intelligence and weapon dmg. then it gets an extra 20% after that. so it would do 48 dmg.

The only problem I see with this build is Manitou [Spirit Barrage]. I actually tried it in the via Mooege and the spirit itself actually attacks very frequently, but it does have pretty low range. Anyhow's I just thought you should know.

ah thanks for sharing. the passive grave injustice and soul harvest also have a short range so it goes well with the gameplay of this build. 2 long range spells (spider queen, GOTD) 2 short range (spirit, soul harvest). with 6 meat shields (4 dogs, garg, templar) i dont see a huge risk in getting a little closer to use these.

If it increases your damage and your pet's damage is based on your weapon damage, I would think it would increase their damage.
Your pet's damage is based on your weapon damage. Pierce the veil does not increase your weapon damage, it increase your damage in the final calculation. Your weapon damage remains the same before and after picking Pierce the Veil.
Weapon Damage is not the damage the damage you do when you attack a enemy with your weapon. Weapon Damage is a substat determined by the weapon you use...
I'm not saying PtV doesn't effect minions. It might be included in the final calculation once your minion is a skill you use after all. For exemple i'm pretty sure it deso work on the spirit barrage and the mother spider. However minions (Zombie Dog and Gargantua) might follow different rules once they are seperate being inside the game (they have they own chart while others are "living" spells).

Fyi....ALL DAMAGE is based on weapon damage. Therefore I don't really think that minions would be excluded from the buff simply because they're minions.

This build is good, it has strong physical dmg and reasonable mana reg with the skills.
BTW, does anyone know where can i find the video for Wall of zombie with red stone?
zombie wall doesnt have a video yet for it. hopefully soon though.
