Alright, so here we go. StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty is out. Korea's life has vanished, and most nerds are once again forced break up with their internet girlfriends. Blizzard has waited long enough, and left most Diablo fans wanting to eliminate Asia. However, it's now time to rate StarCraft 2, because like it or not, the first StarCraft is one of the best strategy games of all time. And now, with the new graphics engine and the new technology, Blizzard has promised to deliver us with a game that can outdo the previous one by a mile.
But how much are you satisfied? Please be honest when you vote on the poll, because I don't want people to come here who never played the game and say "OMG BEST GAME EVEER!" and vote 900/5. The poll is not public, so you guys don't need to worry about destroying your reputation or whatever.
OPTIONAL BUT IT WOULD BE NICE!
Also, if you could, please put down a review of the game using this rubric, as me and three other friends are going to start a "Rotten Tomatoes" idea for games and I want to collect reviews from a bunch of sites.

As I said, it is optional, but I do want to create a really accurate review of the game so people would know if it's good or not.
But if you want, just throw down a couple comments. Do the review only if you really want to.
My personal review will be out in about a week. I'm going to go buy it tomorrow.
Gameplay Analysis: I love it. No other RTS has gripped me like this in multiplayer, and the campaign is great as well. Basically whatever was good in SC1 is good in SC2 as well: race diversity, unit design, balance etc. The fast pace is also something I greatly enjoy. A lot of other RTS games start out slow and drag on for hours (Age of Empires II during LAN play comes to mind first) but newer games like Supreme Commander can last forever. Starcraft is much better paced in that respect I feel.
Graphics Analysis: The graphics are good, but more importantly very distinct and fitting. It's immediately clear whether a unit is protoss, zerg or terran, and all units within each race is distinct. It's just very clear and brilliant. On a pure technical standpoint however, it doesn't necessarily outshine the competition. It doesn't really have to though.
Story Analysis: This is surprisingly the weakest point I think. I see what they wanted to do with the story and where they're heading, but there was too much focus on the Terran. I had no problem playing as Terran, but the missions didn't reveal ANYTHING of the current Protoss situation except the Tal'Darim, and they were just a bunch of fanatics. And Kerrigan felt like a supporting actor. There was just too little focus on the grand picture, and too much side plots with doctors, refugees and artifact smuggling. Side plots are good, but not at the expense of the main plot line.
Any Other Comments: B.net is just amazing. And achievements! I am such an achievement whore, and I'm going to have a lot of playing in front of me to get as many of them as possible
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Alright my review will be up later today, as I am playing StarCraft 2 as we speak. It's truly an interesting game, but I need to play it a bit more to actually be able to review it. So hold up!
Gameplay Analysis: Very nice gameplay. The flow the game really helps here, as the speed makes you quickly build your army and get everything started. Also, there are a lot of late game units for all species, which makes things especially fun, since carriers are no longer unstoppable like there were in the first one. A negative here would be that as it is good, it's not perfect. I feel that it could be better. I can't put my finger on it, but it is good.
Graphics Analysis: The scenery is pretty cool. I like how you go into cities and stuff instead of just staying in lava pits and forests the entire time like the first one. This really is why you buy StarCraft 2, since you want StarCraft 1 with better graphics and gameplay.
Story Analysis: Really really disappointed in the story. Story is what usually makes Blizzard games interesting, and I have to say that this time, Blizzard really did not meet my expectations. I am not going to go in depth into it, since I would have to spoil things. But I have to say that it left way to many plot holes and just didn't really leave me satisfied.
Any Other Comments: It's a good game. I would recommend that you buy it, but buy it for the gameplay, not for story. It's just another RTS.
