Which got me to thinking, don't these mods deserve sticky threads as well?
If they are created, and if they sustain meaningful activity for long enough, then they might be stickied. Since Hell Unleashed was really only mentioned ONCE, it hardly merits a stickied thread.
Median XL is as far as I know not nearly played as much as ES on this forum, and hasn't spawned a thread big enough.
It's not a matter of fairness, it's a matter of it not being needed as of now.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

Agreed.
The Eastern Sun thread was created and granted sticky status when discussion of that mod in another, general D2 mod thread, showed that it had a substantial following among site members at the time.
None of the other mods have, yet, garnered a level of interest anywhere close to that (and arguing about which is better in the ES thread doesn't qualify).
If, or when, another mod-- through meaningful discussion, as opposed to a spam campaign-- proves to be significantly popular, then it, too, may earn stickiness.
Well of course I know it doesn't qualify, I was suggesting not making a sticky for EACH mod, but to merge all mods into one generalized "Modded D2" thread.
Never knew that others played MXL much.

I think a general mod thread is ok, with the exception that the ES thread is grandfathered.
I'm not about to downgrade it from its current status, or merge it into another thread, at this point.
Well, I'm not in to the mods anymore, but I'd argue that with all the mods out there it would be annoying to have to continually say "I'm talking about x mod" and continue with your post, especially if one or multiple mods become popular again like ES was for months.

Good point.
In fact, I'd say that makes having a general thread covering all the mods a bad idea.

Been noticing a lot more discussion about Median XL, and also heard about a user who plays Hell on Earth (or something along those lines)

Not saying we should make a thread for EACH mod, perhaps one merged thread for "Modded Diablo 2" discussion in general.
