So you 2 guys are not concerned about D3 going the way of D2?
Also your attempt to invalidate my opinion merely by pointing out my number of posts and join date is lame.
no D2 was a dupes haven. This one won't 100% or it would kill 100% RAHM which blizzard won't allow. Also only the best of all bots will be in game, all lame and mediocre will be banned fast. We need to understand that they want RAHM to work as this may mean new way of making money for them in all feature games. They will make it work. They have 6000 of employers and billions of dollars to ensure all works well enough to earn money for them. 100% perfection is not needed.
Some makes a post that says. Hey guys look this guy just made a bot that kills meph and gives videos or pics.
That post only helps make people that are inclined to cheat aware of said cheats.
Now if you are wanting to help Blizzard stop cheaters there are private channels to do this without announcing to the world that there is working cheats.
Also in reguard to awarness, I'm unsure if blizzard monitors fan sites for info on cheaters or anything else for that matter.
it helps because the game is in beta and not in retail yet. Beta is LITERALLY for finding issues before release. Of course there are issues in a beta, the whole point of a beta test is to invite users to find these bugs and exploits and make them known so they can look into these issues before the release of the game.
I'm not sure how to explain that to you so it sinks in.

By your logic the discussion of cheats will come to a end with the beta?
that they are allowing discussion of bots hacks and cheats on these forums.
It serves no purpose but to proliferate the number of cheaters.
All these threads should be locked deleted and the posters should be banned.
Now when I look at threads I assume you are talking about Trombone post (http://www.diablofans.com/topic/37781-diablo-3-loot-scanning-mod-model-swapping-and-the-first-bot-no-guides/). This post was great. Thanks to posts like this people will know what to "demand" from blizzard as a priority one and not just whine why colors in the game are orangy too much Also the same people who write those bots may someday write AI for Diablo 4. So let them live as that knowledge gained by them is worth more for me as a gamer than that they earn some money on RAHM thanks to their bots. Some of those guys may be even brainy enough to someday crate security for Diablo 4 against bots. If Blizzard can't avoid it with D3 then maybe they will help in the feature.
This is all assuming that D3 is not as stupidly easy to hack as D2 but we all know it won't be. It should be on WoW level which wasn't good but wasn't bad too. Bots you will find selling mostly mats and some rare world drops. I wouldn't expect them to grind inferno level elites much same as bots don't do do raids in WoW.
But well, I may be completely wrong here and we may end up same as in D2. Will it break my fun of finding items and killing mobs on Inferno. Doubtful. Will it be fail for Blizzard. Sure.

Thats not what I asserted.
I said for as long as its beta, trying to silence or discourage the discussion of broken functionality is overall doing a disservice to everyone including yourself.
No wants these things in retail, and the more awareness there is of the issue and the more people are trying these things in the beta lets blizz pull data from their clients and gives them a better insight into the issue and how to fix it. I never said anything about these discussions in post beta. Literally 0 bad can come from people discussing these issues during beta.
No one is on your side, this is literally the intent of having a beta. I don't understand why you are so vehemently standing your ground on an incredibly moot issue.

You seem very concerned about this so called "incredibly moot issue".
Let's take a real world example vs WoW. WoW is like a small country. 14 million citizens (it's twice as large as Denmark). If Diablo become as big as even Denmark I think you can then start thinking about your hackers/bots like of criminals/gangsters in those countries. You can't get rid of them but it does not mean it won't be nice to live there. And on top of that the government is not corrupted

Also, what you are suggesting here, is censorship to the max, ban people for trying to bring up a discussion about something that might hurt their game? What? This site is not ruled by China or North Korea..
Plenty of things get censored in these and every other forum.
Also to everyone saying publicly discussing cheats is good for awareness while your intentions are good remember this quote.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Awareness of cheat should only be brought to the attention of those who are truely the only ones that can do anything about it.
Jedivh, your posts are my new early-morning guilty pleasure. Please don't stop.

No I think that without pain there is no gain and that one man’s meat is another man’s poison, not to even mention that actions speaking louder than words. But on the other hand a stitch in time saves nine. And you must remember that a word is enough to the wise.
To bot makers if they read it, forbidden fruit is sweetest and first come, first served
Btw, as far as RAHM is involved botting etc will be illegal as it was mentioned on other forum with real live consequences. Just treat all Chinese bots as Blizzard workers who bring items to RAHM so we can buy it
Actually I think you don't have a leg to stand on. What are you trying to say? Being vague and reluctant to elaborate isn't a very constructive way to have sensible discussion.
Ok I'll elaborate on something.
I think unless you work for blizzard you wouldn't put so much time and effort into researching cheats unless you intended on using them yourself.
How many bots did you run in D2?
I hardly doubt your a whiteknight here to save us all.

Man you are getting better. Look 20 posts now. Soon we may start agreeing with you. Keep going
Says the person with 7 posts and has been a member since September of last year.
Does that really matter? Some people just stop by to read the threads and not actively participate.
And the first bout of active (in a while) participation is how he's disappointed in the site? This is either someone who lurks hard time or someone who made another account to bring up negative opinions. Either way the input is moot. At least if I have an unpopular opinion I post it under this account to be trolled/flamed/laughed at.
The only thing you have done in this thread is troll/flame me(which is against the rules).
I'm not trolling or flaming, i'm expressing my disbelief at your naivety. There is one thread on the front page displaying the progress that beta hackers have made towards creating bots and you feel the need to create an entire thread to show your displeasure when you could have just as easily had made a post in the thread, but you create one that is pretty much an insult to the moderators saying how you don't think they're doing their job correctly. Hacking and botting is GOING to happen, as long as they're not discussing how to do it or where to get it then they're doing nothing wrong.
Information should be free, and discussing such topics =/= engaging in them.

I'm addressing your concern?
You have to be trolling or the most retarded human being ever. I'm not sure which is preferable.
This is not Blizzard's site. It is an independent forum about the game. Any news that effects Diablo III seems like fair game, and worth mentioning. A lot of people are wondering how the economy is going to work, and if there will be bots all over the place. People interested in the future of this game will definitely be wondering whether bots will be possible. It is relevant news.
I do think glitches and hacks should be reported to Blizzard. But I don't think posting them here is ireesponsible. Anythig that becomes such common kowledge that it's discussed publicly on major fan sites, blizzard will probably address quickly anyway. And censoring this site definitely won't reduce hacking. The internet is a very big place and once someone finds a way to hack this game, word will spread.
When it happens, people who are playing by the rules will definitely want to know what is going on.

Well even if im wrong im sticking to my guns.
There is a place for these things to be discussed http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/submit/hacks.html rather than publicly.

Banning it would indeed not stop it, but it's good for a community to be outspoken against it.
