Might this not be related to internet-speed and what else you're doing? Because I'm experiencing no lag whatsoever, but then I recently got an upgraded connection speed, and currently I'm not using the connection for anything else.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

I know it's a bit off topic, but I'm glad to see there are more people using Chrome now! I started using when they "released" the beta, and people were like: WTF, use Firefox, not this beta BS, but then more and more people started to use it.
You asked for more good points about it, but someone already answered you.
Overall :
Faster
Simple
Modern(I mean, the first version is recent, so it's natively optimized for today's browsing, especially web applications like forums, online shops, etc. Not only an old one updated 232405times...)
More room for content(the frame of the application is actually smaller than any other popular browser, without neglecting any feature)
I LOVE the "Most visited websites" that you have on the starting page when you open it. Since I often go to the same sites days after days, it saves me a lot of time.
Takes less ressources from your computer
Updates automatically instead of taking hours through Windows Live Update(I'm only speaking about Internet Explorer here, FireFox update system is nice too)
Googlish
The address bar is awesome, while you're typing it does a search in your visited websites, and on google, and suggests you some addresses completion depending on what you visit the most often. I mean, I type "D" + Enter, and I'm on Diablofans.com, I type "bl" + enter and I'm on Blizzblues.com, "fa" + enter and I'm on facebook, etc...
So, most people really dont care about some points here, but I really like it actually. A big part of my RL job concerns browsing, and when they released this browser, I automatically adopted it, and I'm not going back to another browser for anything.
(Except Battlefield Heroes, since they didn't take the time making the game client compatible with Chrome, only Firefox and IE, but it really isn't that bad:D)

If you can't amaze people with your intelligence, confuse them with your bullshit.
I experience lag while scrolling on this page after the new bodybg was added. And do on most sites that have a static background like this one. When I use no zoom and not 150% as I usually do I get only slight lag. My solution was to block that image in adblock and everyhing runs perfect again.
Also, this problem has nothing to do with internet connection speed.
If your lagging on this websites background, how do you expect to play diablo 3?
Way to contribute.

That's a really good summary. So should I use firefox or Chrome?
Either or. Firefox has the added bonus of tons of free skins you can download of their website. Chrome wins in innovation in my book. It's mostly just preference at that point.

Oh, yes, and FireFox's plugins are very useful. I use the animated PNG maker from time to time and it has some other nice ones, too. I really just like the way Chrome feels, if that makes any sense. I like it's default new tab page, which function's like Opera's, where it shows captures of nine websites you visit recently or most actively, a list of recently closed websites on the right, and a list of recent bookmarks. I go with Chrome, but I use FireFox if I need to use a plug-in for any occasion. Preference, mostly.
And of course there's:
"google pretty much controls the internet, its our search engine and our youtube. google doesnt need our browsers too"
Which I don't mind, since Google is obviously doing a better job of all of that than most companies. But I have the same nostalgic animosity towards Microsoft in a similar sense here, so I can't really talk
Whether it is staying or not is not yet known concretely, I do not believe, so it might not be there at all in the future. The image also may change since this layout is new, but it should remain the same at some point. I hope that helps
