A: Yes and no. Yes in the sense that it means a Moderator or Administrator believes you have broken a rule. No in the sense that you need many before you will receive an automatic ban. Remember, they're mostly used as a method of keeping track of a user's previous incursions on the rules. Of course, you don't need any infraction points to be banned (assuming you break one of the immediately bannable rules).
What are some of the bannable rules? And how long is your ban?
Sorry for bombing you with questions. It's just that when I go say that "Islamics suck", I don't want to come back saying that I got an Perm ban or something.
Link, that's not true and you know it. It's comments like that that earn you a bad reputation among the staff. Essentially, you bring it on yourself.
Wrong, its comments like that that earn me a bad reputation with staff that know they are corrupted. Good wholesome moderators like yourself and siaynoq and the like know better and understand that I am not talking about you.

It all comes down to one thing: you either trust the moderators, or you don't...
I dissagree. I think it comes down to a more person-to-person instance. Each moderator is different and each makes his or her own decisions. You can't and shoudn't blame one moderator for another's mistakes. They all deserve a chance.

Yeah, I got one for Trolling a while back, and admittedly, I deserved it, lol. I slide by with a lot of things I know I shouldn't, although I try to go back and edit or delete those after my immature spasm is over. But my Infraction says "Expired"- can everyone that views my profile now still see that I had one at one point, although it's expired?
I know I got one for double posting. Then one for "Karma" and one for "Signature Violations" both meaning the same thing, I upset someone I shouldn't of. And I also gone one when I insulted someone, and only later did I realize that I truely did insult anyone.

Q: How easily can you get an infraction point?
A: It's as easy as breaking a rule.
Jetrall buddy, seriously, you can't be this blind man. It's so much easier then that... I had a nice long thing about it but... Well you know those bad apples... If anyone's actually curious how easy though then hit me up in a PM, it's a hell of alot easier then simply breaking a rule.

two questions
1) Why is it that i've trolled and never recieved an infraction
2) How many infractions do I have, and if any, what are they?
1) You havent pissed off the bad mods and the good mods havent noticed your trolls yet or havent seen them as a major issue to the success of the forum.
2) You can check yourself by clicking your name beside one of your posts and clicking view public profile.
Wrong. Your three Infractions are listed as the following...
Flaming and trolling, Offtopic, and Insulted Other Member(s)
Don't try to lie to me. I'm an Admin and I can see all.
I'm glad you brought that up, all-mighty admin who can see all:
Ferret gave me an infraction after asking me to play a game with him and another forum member which consists of both of us deleting our posts one by one. I never agreed to that kind of treatment when I registered to the forum and simply I may not have had time for games so I refused, telling him politely to delete whichever of my posts he sees fit (since that is his job in the first place, not mine). I was never warned that it would get me an infraction in the process. I check to see if the other guy fell for it and deleted his post and he didn't so I went to sleep. I knew that I didn't start the offtopic series of posts in the thread and that there were more than one users involved. The next morning I am informed via PM how I dug up my own grave and received an infraction while the other user didn't. So, for not playing his game, I received an infraction for a POST that is LISTED as PRIVATE. As you can see from the picture.
I'm glad you posted that, ordinary-level user who CAN'T see all...
First off, I'll mention the obvious: The reason for the infraction is not made private there. Only the thread in which it took place, so....
Also, I keep trying to tell you guys. INFRACTIONS ARE NOT A BIG DEAL. Stop whining about them. Moderators and Administrators on all forums - not just here - have the right to choose punishments when rules are broken. It's as simple as that. Any forum that has no Staffing body is an Anarchy and Anarchies always fail.
You know, as a staff member I have to put up with an awful lot of bullshit from people. (Yes, sometimes even other staff members). All we ask for as staff is adherence to the rules and respect. How often do we get both... or either for that matter?
But you know what? I deal with it. Why? Because I have to. Because I know that if we all pack up and leave just because we don't like what we have to put up with in order to try and keep this place somewhat civil, then it would all go to hell.
If you don't like the rules of this board or the way they're enforced, leave. If you all want to grow a pair of stones and deal with it, then stay and stop bothering me unless you have a legitimate problem other than some sort of grudge against (a) staff member(s) that were only trying to do their jobs - regardless of whether or not you agree with their methods.
Anyways, to answer DeathMars' question (since he's one of the few members posting in here I actually feel like interacting with right now)...
What will earn you a ban...
Multiple Accounts w/o Explanation - Perma Ban (Never Expires)
Porn / Other Adult Content - Perma Ban
Trying to (or talking about) hacking this site - Perma Ban
Posting personal information about another user w/o their permission - Perma Ban
Being a spam/porn bot - This one is obvious. Perma Ban.
Requesting / Posting Hacks, Warez, Torrents, etc - Ban length will depend on level of infraction
Discussing hacks for Blizzard games with the intent of making it easier for the player or disrupt other players' gaming experience (discussion of modifications like Eastern Sun are OK) - Ban length will depend on level of infraction
This being said, other ordinary infractions can earn you a ban if you break the rules frequently enough. Essentially, if the staff decides that you warrant a ban, you will get one.
I received an infraction for a POST that is LISTED as PRIVATE. As you can see from the picture.
There's nothing sinister going on there -- it shows as private on your end only because the post was deleted.
If the post were to be reinstated, the 'private' tag would disappear, and the post would once again be viewable to you, just like the one above it in your picture.
That answer can only come from the one who gave it as a reason -- and you know just as much as the blue-collar staff does, regarding that person's whereabouts.

Hmm... Makes sense. But, like you said, I guess most of it is also based on how the moderators thinki about the offense, meaning if you make an April Fools joke about hacking the site it won't really be bannable. Or is it?
I noticed that starting fights wasn't there. Can trolling or "flaming" someone get you a ban? or is it one of those things you have to do a lot of to get a ban?
Don't let me get into why Christianity is the most retarded of all religions.(please do, it sounds fun)
2.)This was a suggestion that was in the site suggestions thread. Originaly it was a very short post containing only a evil smiley and nothing else, then the mods tore it up. The smiley was implemented and I got an infraction.
What do you think about adding this emoticon to the current line of emoticons?
And what don't you not think about it?
Or are you like Phrozen, who supports all emoticons?
3.)The last one isn't linked to a post but I remember it. I was arguing with Jet about a rule that says that user created site banners are not allowed. I deserved it.
1) Calling any religion retarded is flame. Pure and simple. Regardless of any 'reason' you have for it.
2) One word posts are spam. One image posts are DEFINITELY spam. Spam is not allowed.
I'd like to point out to anyone reading this that this is NOT a thread in which to debate the infraction points you've been given. In fact, the question has been answered and, as such, I shall now lock the topic. However, I do have one last thing to say in response to the following quote...

I still want to know what the hell that means, as I never got a straight answer.
