Please reduce the difficulty of the search function captchas...I keep getting it wrong and am prevented from searching. This will only contribute to a redundant forum..and I dont think its really that necessary on a search feature anyway..
No idea what captchas are, but I have never had a problem with the search function.
I find better results if I think it through a bit more, and say type in "Character ideas for Diablo3" instead of "Char ideas in d3". The minimum word length is 3 letters. Therefore almost every time you type in a combination of 2 letter you will fail to find anything.
The search function, without looking very deep into it, is hard coded in the way it works. It's a useful tool, but it has limited, like any search function, even google can't find some things.
The best way to make sure the search function returns optimum results, is by a joint effort. If people name their threads with appropriate titles, and use English, not necessarily Proper English, but just not type in a series of acronyms and internet/game jargon, or simplified words and phrases it works fine. It is also a courtesy to though who do not know them.
But it would not hurt to investigate the matter.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
And what does that have to do with the search function of this site?
To me they seem like two totally different things, the only time I have seen a captcha here is when you sign up for account.

The Advanced Search feature had a captcha on the right side. I made this post after several failed attempts to search and eventually giving up. I see that the captcha is no longer there...perhaps it has been removed in response to this thread. I dunno...but it was there before, and its not there now.

When you have to type the letters in a picture.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
And what does that have to do with the search function of this site?

/Immaturity off.
I think this is basically a resolved issue.
