Lastly, mutton seems more or less indifferent to being a moderator which is a good disposition to have.
Not to disagree with your descision of making Mutton a moderator - not really any of my concern - but I think your logic in that sentence is a bit flawed. Anyone who asks to be a moderator is obviously not indifferent as to whether they are or are not one. If he was indifferent, someone should have had to ask him.

Hmmm I don't know. I've read some of your arguements and your just too opinionative to be a mod I think. You don't see Lord Silver or Lord Elfen going around cussing at people. But who knows, maybe there's room for an overly aggressive moderator on this wonderful site. No one doubts your inteligence, its your attitude, which I'm sure could change.
Someone brought up that post where you said you wanted to punch the guy in his face (which I thought was hilarious). I don't know all the circumstances around that, but regardless that seems a little uncalled for one who wants to be a moderator.

Well, first of all, 400 isn't a bad number of posts to have. I've seen several new members kind of just disappear after twenty-something posts. Second, post count isn't that important. Everyone knows that. As long as one has posted enough to demonstrate they are level-headed and have a good understanding of the way a forum should operate and all its rules. Third, there actually aren't that many others that would make good moderators. Not because they couldn't, but because they wouldn't be that willing to do it. Fourth, there's little to no moderating on this forum anyway, so we could use another moderator. Lastly, mutton seems more or less indifferent to being a moderator which is a good disposition to have. Sure he's rough around the edges at times, but he's also fair and well-balanced. After reevaluating my initial stance on this issue, I've come to the conclusion that he'd make a very decent one.
I appolagize siaynoq, I see what you mean now. the only reason i mentioned posts was because of the time someone might put into being on this forum, not for just whatever, but for being involved!

Just my two cents.
Well see, yes, he asked to be a moderator, but at the same time, if they end up not letting him become one, I don't think he would care that much. The formers makes him less indifferent, the latter makes him more indifferent. Thus, he is more and/or less indifferent.

Following that logic, I should ask to be a moderator too. Maybe I should...
I should too cuz i know much about stupid threads cuz i've made many.

Although I don't think Mutton should be a mod, I do agree with this point. I'm not saying Umaro and whoever else aren't doing their jobs... but there's flaming and spamming all over the place. Not to mention the occasional porn link and several of the signatures here should be edited or limited as they take up half the screen. Then our moderator, Silver, isn't giving the site the best impression when his own spelling and grammar is rather horrible. Demote some mods if they're never moderating and hire some more active and contributing members of the community. Someone like AcidReign would be a great moderator.
who's sig takes up half the screen? well, for one, yours kinda counts as that if you think about it. but to test if a sig is too large, make the person type a line or less of text, on a 1240 x 1080 res screen. and if the 'online now' button and 'distinguished road' button is more than 1 in from eachother on 17 inch screen, its too large.
Mine is probably a bit big but there's people like this and people with huge diablo 3 posters or multiple images that really ruin the threads. Search around some of the posts, there's quite a few and they're distracting and ruin the thread content.
I realize he's some sort of forum god (guess every forum has one or two of these fellas though I must admit "Silversurfnstudism" is unique ;)) and he seems like a good guy but I can't stand seeing a site's staff posting immaturely and/or unprofessionally. Just gives the site a bad look. Staffers are always in the spotlight. Other forumers should be able to look up to and follow in the ways of the moderators and administrators.

I mean, sure, admins and moderators should be good examples. But mostly good examples in the ways of forum etiquette, not spelling and grammar. And no one is exactly being paid to be admins or moderators, so why is the professional standard even necessary? It's not like this site has an auditor whos gasps and loses his monocle each time he observes our discourse.
Yup. But Silver's posting is one of the lesser problems. I think another moderator, like AcidReign, should be hired to get rid of the constant flaming, spamming, and the occasional porn and pirated material posts.

While things like that bother me too, I've found that for the most part I'm capable of ignoring those things and just focusing on the threads most relevant to me and the posters most contributing.
