Thanks for your feedback. Moved it to the proper part of the forums. My reply here will be similar to what I replied to you in Drahque's thread:
We don't want "countless video posts", unless they spark discussion. That being said, if the Diablofans community (YOU ALL) doesn't mind those posts, upvotes them, replies, and doesn't report them, we would work against the community if we were to sanction those posts. Note that we occasionally lock/remove those threads - I did so just yesterday, by the way. But occasionally we ask ourselves what's best for the community, and instant deletion of video submissions might not be the best.
Anyways - I'll be following this discussion, so interested in everyone's opinion/suggestion on this matter. Note that a thread "just for video posts" would be rather pointless, and for streams we already have a thread. After all we are a forum and we want discussions.
Certain videos are too interesting and some may say vital to be masked and basically hidden in just one topic. And as Bagstone implied, some of them may spark interesting discussions and debates, putting all of them in one thread would make everyone scratch their heads. A stream is a stream, there isn't much to talk about a certain streamer unless you really care about the class they are playing or build, which either often changes or you simply check their stream and avoid waiting days for a reply to your dilemma. It also forces people to check that topic regularly in case something of interest to them is posted, which is not a good strategy in terms of forum management. This kind of behavior gets you fired IRL lol.
LD: And another thing, it screws with the search engines and ultimately hurts this site, if someone looks for something in particular with let's say, google, then instead of a topic discussing their problem, with a straight forward topic title, you get 1000 pages of one topic where everything is a mess, someone is replying to a post from page 2, while the next one replies to one on page 3, etc. You get the idea, too many replies to keep it civil and clean.
