It's funny, I used to be TOTALLY wrapped up in newly datamined info on WoW, but I have no desire to ruin the story here. Most of this stuff will be more fun for me to hear at BlizzCon or in context from the horses' mouths. Great work still, I'd love to know where this client came from! Edit: Bluespacecow cleared that up for me on the last page. =)
I'd like to see the Blizzboys' faces when they are notified of this. they've sure given us tons of reasons to frown, it's about time we returned the favor.
I'll also reserve judgment on the content itself. sure cool stuff might be in now, but we thought the exact same thing before the game was released and before all that stuff was cut out.

Actually it's in Blizz's best interest to let this information remain up on Diablofans.com
It's free Hype and PR for them.
Even with it being in alpha testing they can very very easily pull all of the Data files we have access to. All they would need to do is push out a new TFIL file to their alpha testers with either new file locations on their CDNs or it redirected to another CDN then remove it from the current CDNs and *boom* gone from public view. In fact they could probably host it on their own in-house CDN which we have no access to.

yeah well they're not exactly known for their intelligence, are they? lol

Yeah they're like, just what?
One of the most succesful gaming companies in the world with the same few industrial properties?
Probably one of the few that still manage to keep those franchises fresh and running, and being a huge source of income a dozen+ years after their first games were released, despite all the hate and negativity from the playerbase?
One of the few that releases consistent patches to their games that actually address gameplay concerns (unlike other big franchises like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, GTA, Burnout and Borderlands, which barely fix bugs and the "completely broken" elements [as in unuseable, not unbalanced] 6+ months later)?
And that actually listens and replies to feedback, usually giving the context in which some decisions were made (in a similar fashion to Riot Games, which basically become what they are today by communicating with its playerbase)?
Yeah, I don't see them as the dumbest gaming developer company.
I reserve that title to companies like Westwood Studios, EA (LA), SEGA and Ensemble Studios.

I agreed with you until you said that Borderlands had completely broken elements, known for not patching and addressing game isssues. That's like the complete opposite of what Borderlands 2 is known for.
Holy crap my nerdgasms are through the rough right now. I can't get enough of this; I've been on the computer all day reading the datamining on RoS. THANK YOU DIABLOFANS.
oh yah? how do you explain Fatty Wilson? he doesn't exactly fit in *your* mix as far as D3 is concerned.
oh wait there's more:
" listens and replies to feedback, usually giving the context in which some decisions were made"
lol you mean the robotic responses from CM's like "we do consider these possibilities for the future and we'll let you know what they'll think.....soon" which translate to "we spend 90% of our work time sitting on our thumbs pretending to be constructive, but we really don't give a turd what you think". ye, those?
they only take snippets of what we report to implement so they can twist them further into money-grubbing features. whereas the core accurate negative feedback is completely ignored like we have no clue what we're talkin about.
*consult the D3_infographiclarge.png file for further elaboration*
you and everyone else whos getting wet down there from reading all this datamined info got "the hate and negativity from the playerbase" to thank for it. without that VERY MUCH WARRANTED hate and negativity from US (I'm a proud member of the hatin-community), there wouldn't be a Loot 1.0, let alone Loot 2.0.
on that note, I'll reserve judgment for when Loot 2 is deployed and then we're gonna see how many of these nut-watering datamined changes actually make it into the final build. right now it's all academic, as was the Mystic before release and every other feature they cut out permanently or held back for the expansion.
I'm so thankful for all the hate... I mean, otherwise I'm sure Blizzard wouldn't have done a thing to improve the xpac unless people were like "THIS GAMEZ IZ LIKE SHEETZ... NO STATS, COLORFUL PONIES, I'M OUT! FUCK YOU BLIZZ AND YOUR RMAH!!!"... thankfully they have that great feedback to work on.
Obviously all the civilized negative comments about certain aspects of the game are useless. Oh wait, you're gonna pull the "fat Wilson" card? Nevermind then, sorry. Move on.

Sorry, let me explain what I meant...
Axton's Turret was literally unuseable in any of the higher difficulties (one shot by most mobs). Zer0's abilities were outright broken (to the point where you could find videos of people one-shotting mobs in the higher difficulties with no weapons).
The other classes had skills which simply didn't work until like 8+ months after release.
They released like 2-3 DLCs without even caring to address the vanilla version's problematic skills. Even with the hundreds of threads about it on their own forums. There were also these: 1234 - iirc it took Gearbox quite some time just to fix those (couple months).
That was my personal experience with BL2 (played with Axton, found a lot of bugs and had to find workarounds or leave missions incomplete). Maybe yours was a bit more positive

And this is why I think that this 'leak' was not intended, it was a mistake or oversight by the dev team, despite Lylirra's remark "That's just how uploading game builds to CDNs roll."

I mean you can pick apart any game. Even Diablo 3 after the expansion will very likely have issues that were there from day 1. You gotta look at it as a whole.
Will Thorns damage ever be worth using?
Will there ever be team deathmatch?
Not to seem impatient, but... when will the rest of the information be up!!! XD
The impatience is mostly due to "little break - We have paragon exp, hopefully some skills and stuff coming in a bit". It's such a cruel tease to state that and then leave us hanging. I'm really eager to hear about paragon XP and if there's any info on new skills for the existing classes.
That said, thanks for all the info and keep up the good work.
I am super excited now!! I just wish something was in the current game for me to do lol. Tho I suppose grinding more characters to 100 won't be a terrible idea...will just have to keep looking at this page for motivation.
...you win this round. >:/
wat?
... calling my doctor right now to see what can be done

Not by me. I really hate it when people use "100%" as a bludgeon to get their point across or to make their point sound better or more honest.
You can if you like. I'm busy in another Google Docs account so I really don't want to log over to my other email to get them
