    Earlier this year, we revealed Diablo III: Book of Tyrael, and today we’re pleased to announce this epic compendium is now available for pre-order.

    Emblazoned with the emblem of the Horadrim and featuring over 140 pages of tantalizing text, Diablo III: Book of Tyrael is a stunning follow-up to Diablo III: Book of Cain, delving even further into the realm of Sanctuary and the individuals who shaped its fate. In this beautifully-illustrated and comprehensive tome, the former Archangel of Wisdom reveals never-before-known secrets about the history of the world, the dark threats that yet face mankind, and his decision to join the ranks of humanity as a mortal. It also includes letters from Leah and additional fragments of Cain’s writings, all curated by Tyrael as he weaves together a series of complex and fascinating stories for fellow members of the Horadrim.

    In addition, Diablo III: Book of Tyrael features a fully removable illustration of the Leoric family tree and other influential characters from Old Tristram including Deckard Cain, Prince Albrecht, Archbishop Lazarus, King Leoric, Prince Aidan, Queen Asylla, Leah, and Adria.

    You're bound to encounter some familiar faces within its lush pages.

    In preparation for its release in October, Insight Editions has launched a special landing page for this remarkable companion book. Adventurers keen to journey deeper into the depths of Sanctuary's lore and experience every last inch of this heavenly artifact can visit Insight Edition's site for more details about Diablo III: Book of Tyrael.

    Interested in reserving a copy of your own? Make sure to place your preorders to be among the first to experience this new chapter in Sanctuary's continuing saga.

    I let my annual pass lapse and now I can't restore my account even if I buy the game out right. I contacted customer support and while they were very friendly it doesn't change the facts. I have 3 active wow accounts I pay for and it doesn't mean anything. So I guess I'll cancel them. If they don't have any type of loyalty to me then why should I be loyal to them. I just wanted to goof off on D3 while waiting for the Ps3 version to come out so that I could play with my family. I really can't get over it. Ive never been a 'troll' or posted negative comments before. In fact this is my first. Well its been fun but alas its began to lose its thrill to me. Most of my friends have moved on and its now my time. Thanks to all the guys/gals ive played with over the years. Good luck to all the people that still play both games. Laters Dark
    Hi Darkestgrace,
    This is our misunderstanding here - the current policy is to set the Annual Pass back up if we are notified within 6 months, which we were not, since the time of the lapse which happened in Sept. 2012 - however, it definitely seems that from my end you've made good on 12 month's worth of subscriptions since the pass was originally set up in November 2011. Apologies for any inconvenience, I'm having this checked out by one of our support representatives now and this should be taken care of in just a bit. I'll update the thread here when I have an update. Thanks!

    Kk, we should be good where this is concerned. The pass is being set back up to award the game and Tyrael's Charger (in WoW) - it will only be set for a week, which is less time than it would take for a subscription to reoccur. You will receive a notice that you have signed up for the Annual Pass, but you can disregard that, as it's an automated response that happens when we set the pass back up.

    Please either let us know here in the thread or in a response to your ticket if there are any issues with accessing the full version of DIII.

    May your loot Goblins be plentiful, and the enemies of the light tremble at your blade!

    Edit: Thanks for the assist from the mighty GM Akazamzarak! =) (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

    Running D3 on a Flash Drive
    EPIC,

    There's no problem with running the game from a USB drive other than perhaps the loading time being reduced from what it would be on an internal drive. In fact, many people use this method to combat asset loading issues believed to be responsible for stuttering in some cases.

    One thing to keep in mind is that the game's preferences remain in your My Documents\Diablo III folder as well as any screenshots you may take. That's on the C drive and the game can't be altered to look or store them elsewhere. You can copy them freely and replace them on the target computer as desired though. That's what I've been wondering..

    Looks like a clear amalgamation of the three prime evils to me;

    -Diablo's torso and back spikes
    -Mephisto's upward pointing horns
    -Baal's bottom half

    Could this be the actual Prime Evil in all it's glory? Afaik this can't be from history as they have never joined fully before (outside of the original incarnation of Tathamet).. could this be what we are fighting at the end of Expac 2?

    Also it seems no-one has noticed this little hint;

    What does it link to that picture? Does it mean familiar faces as in the Primes? Or is it referencing Uldyssian or Lucion? It seems a bit odd if you ask me..

    Well, there is mention about Coven again...
    ("You were Templar JOnndarrrrr", "the Coven is my brotherhood now")

    About Prime Evils too

    When you look at the intro cinematic of Diablo III (about the End of Days), at the end of the video, you can see the giant demon emerging from the ground. Some people think it's Diablo but it could be the appearing of this giant demon. The reason I believe in this is because between the scene of the Demon's emerging and Diablo's face there is a flash so we don't know what that demon actually looks like but it must be really really big (much bigger than Diablo's size). Also, the prophecy part of the cinematic takes place at the great battle which I believe to happen in Sanctuary with the participation of Angiris Council's members. That battle didn't happen in the base game so it could be in one of the expansions (my bet is on the very last one). The End of Days prophecy is not finished when the Prime Evil is defeated and cast down from the High Heavens, there are still 2 more lines to fulfill. According to the teaser page, I can expect the aspect of death playing a role but I don't know if they would address the "fate shattering" part in this expansion or another one.

    Well, for all we know:

    1) The Cultists in Diablo III may have been a part of the Triune once - I remember seeing artworks of "Triune Cultists" for Diablo III.

    Oh, here it is: http://diablo.wikia..../Triune_Cultist

    2) We know that Adria was their leader at some point, so... Adria may have been member of the Triune as well.

    So... It is possible that in the aftermath of Diablo's defeat at the Crystal Arch, Adria returned to the Temple of the Triune and assumed leadership of it. I wouldn't be suprised if Adria was in fact Lilith and the events of Diablo 1-3 were masterminded by her in order to awake the powers of the Nephalem. After all - the destruction of the Worldstone, devastation of the High Heavens and fall of the Prime Evil were in Lilith's best interest.

    Why? Well, the Worldstone blocked the potential of the Nephalem and based on the fact that Lilith tried to unleash the power of her children, we may assume that its destruction was quite welcomed by her. We also know that Lilith wanted the High Heavens destroyed - after all, she is a demon. She wasn't a big fan of the Prime Evils either, so...

    What if Lilith was the one who told Diablo about the Black Soulstone? What if she wanted Diablo to become the Prime Evil, because she knew that once he does, he will march on the High Heavens and destroy it? What if she convinced Nihlathak to give Baal the artifact that allowed him to bypass the Ancients and corrupt the Worldstone before the heroes could face the Lord Of Destruction, hoping that Archangel Tyrael would rather destroy the artifact than allow it to be controlled by Hell?

    And finally, what if Lilith hoped that the Nephalem powers would awaken after the destruction of the Worldstone and that they would, at some point, be sufficient to dispose of the Prime Evil?

    It all kinda makes sense, doesn't it? Look at the ending of Diablo 3 - High Heavens are in ruin after the invasion, the angelic host is broken, Burning Hells are basically leaderless since all the major demons were merged together and defeated at the Crystal Arch. And the most important thing - the Nephalem powers have awakened, our character is the proof of that. Isn't that like... perfect from Lilith's point of view?

    Maybe she has learned her lesson from Sin War trilogy and tried a different approach - instead of trying to make the Nephalem accept her leadership (we've all seen where that got her with Uldyssian), she masterminded a plan like the one described above?

    And here's a fun idea for the Expansion - what if the Reaper of Souls is not Malthael, but Lilith?! What if now, once both the High Heaven and the Burning Hells were basically defeated, she plans to "reap" the souls of her children, the Nephalem, and by doing so assume control of all creation?

    And maybe... maybe Lilith plans to use Malthael to do so? Maybe he, with all his vast knowledge, is somehow the key to enslaving the Nephalem and ensuring Lilith's final victory?:)

    Well, to be honest, I think that the Reaper of Souls = Malthael and Lilith is not involved. I don't think Blizzard would do something like my idea, but it's always a fun theory, don't you think?:)

    It seems there is a new teaser up on the forums at the official Chinese fan site d.163.com, sources are saying this site has been enlisted by Blizzard to show a teaser image that is slowly being revealed behind a burning page;

    http://bbs.d.163.com/forum.php

    The image has changed 4 times so far since it went up a few days ago, with the burnt holes becoming increasingly bigger and numerous. This is reminiscent of the "Ice Reveal" teaser that was used back when Diablo 3 was initially announced.

    former Archangel of Wisdom reveals never-before-known secrets about the history of the world, the dark threats that yet face mankind, and his decision to join the ranks of humanity as a mortal.

    Maybe my brain is reading this wrong, but I just want to put it out there: isn't this sentence incorrect? If they are indeed referencing Tyrael, and not Malthael, then shouldn't this read:

    "former Archangel of Justice, and now self proclaimed" (or some variation of this) "Aspect of Wisdom, reveals..."

    I'm excited for the book regardless, I enjoyed dissecting the last one prior to the D3 game launch. I'm sure my friends and I will do the same with this one.

    I actually think it is a spoiler as Blizzard has since changed the article to omit "former". A preview page on Tyrael also says that he flees the Heavens as he's tormented by the death of his comrades.
