Penny Arcade and Scott Kurtz Invade New Tristram
Scott Kurtz and the guys from Penny Arcade sat down and tried the console version of D3. They recorded the whole thing, which you can see below. Or just the highlights, collected in the first video. It's a full console playthrough way up to the Leoric!

Together, they track down Leoric the Skeleton King on a four-player rampage of demon-slaying, trash-talking, and ninja-looting. We don't want to spoil the video for you, but suffice it to say shenanigans are on the rise in New Tristram.

    Feedback on the Paragon System
Feedback on what you'd like to see in a shared Paragon system is very much appreciated, and I encourage everyone to do so if you feel like it. There is a lot of potential in a system like this, and personally, I'm very excited about seeing how the new Paragon system turns out. Here's a couple of example questions you can ask yourself to help get you started.

    - Would you like to see shared stats?

    - What stats would you like to see shared?

If my high paragon level character died /or deleted, do I get those benefits if implemented?
We don't have any details to share regarding how the updated Paragon system will work in Hardcore mode, but as a fellow Hardcore player I'm curious about this, too. However, we'll be sure to post the specifics about how this works as soon as we're able to. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

So maybe that big Gamescon announcement is Blizzard All-Stars and not D3X? Hmm, I hope not :D

That high light reel actually makes me want to stay far away from D3 on console, if that's representative of people Blizzard wants as their target audience, I might as well never play a blizzard title again.

Have you really never heard of penny arcade? They kind of created the gamer/web cartoon industries, a huge charity for sick kids, and a major game expo. They are comics, hence the comedy. What kind of gamer doesn't joke around?

I don't think Blizzard would miss players with that kind of attitude, and neither the community. You can be a hardcore top-of-the-line player without being elitist.

To me it's pretty obvious that even a big part of the PC playerbase is that kind of player (probably never got past Normal/Hell, and don't care about the whole itemization and end-game drama as the "hardcore" players do), and there's nothing wrong with it. They seem to be having a lot more fun than some of those 12+ hours/day streamers, or the people who like to pretend it's cool bashing the game - like the dozens of "stalker trolls" on the comment section of every D3-related news or that one who recently got banned here on the DFans forums.

I saw nothing wrong with them. Seemed like some casual gamers having some fun! I can't wait to get D3 on my Xbox I'm sure it will be loads of fun just as much as the PC version is.

By those standsards, you should never watch or go to PAX East or PAX Prime because they're representative of the people that runs it.

When I play alone, I act very mature and I don't do anything crazy.

When I play with friends, we tend to do crazy things together. We're all mature, but sometimes it's good to behave like kids. What's life if we can't enjoy ourselves? We're between friends so that's cool... it's not like if we were doing this in a public place.

You won't play a game made by them because of their target audience? Because of the people that play it? Even if you like the game, the people that play the game you like make you not play it?

    You have serious issues dude.

Pausing the game for the others is awful ! And you can't go ahead, in another zone or to town alone. Why there's no split-screen, wtf ?!

You don't have to pause it. If you just have to do something for a few seconds/minutes you can just leave the controller. Their movement will yank you back to the group as they touch the edge of the screen.

Also split screen will make it so you see only a few feet in front of you. Pretty pointless.
