Archon on Demon Hunters and Powerful Builds
Popular streamers and Wizard, Archon, has released a new video in which he delves into some of the problems Diablo 3 has. Specifically he talks about the Demon Hunter, why the class feels less powerful than other classes, the power of some Wizard and Barbarian builds and even brings up some potential solutions to these issues.

Check out his video below and feel free to discuss the topic in our comment section.

Fan Creation of the Week: The Art of TeknoKyo Customs

This week’s community spotlight shares the work of TeknoKyo Customs and his fully articulated Diablo action figures.

The first of these figures is a four-inch replica of a Diablo III Demon Hunter. It took TeknoKyo Customs around four months to complete this figure, and it includes many intricate details, including two ornate crossbows that are ready to shed some demon blood.

The second figure is a throwback to an earlier era in Sanctuary's history. It's an action figure based on the game version of the Diablo II Assassin. TeknoKyo Customs used contour putty in order to further modify the figure in the ways he wanted, and the results are quite intimidating!

    Great video from Archon.

It's one of the things Blizzard should really have done early on. They probably didn't take the "fix" route because of the outcry from having things like DH's Smokescreen and Monk's Serenity nerfed like that.

500 kids cry in a forum that Blizzard always "nerfs everything" (and that's usually because everything else is in line and working as intended, as Archon himself pointed out) and suddenly we're stuck with "broken" builds for almost a year :fret:

erm.. that DII assassin figurine looks like a man with overly developed mammary glands.

About the problem, CM has to go either entirely or as mentioned converted into a set bonus and the Wiz defenses readjusted because now at higher MP levels stunlock or the extra def from Archon are the only things that can keep you alive.

I agree w/ everything archon said, sans the Bind to account stuff, runewords (if it ever makes a come back) sure... i guess. Set items? No way. The bind to account mentality really annoys me. It's a bleed over from the WOW generation and it's an easy fix to a flubbed system. Sure lots of people play self found, and lots of people use the auction house, it's blizzards OWN fault for making gold have actual value. If they'd have just left it at a barter system, there would be next to zero complaints. (except the usual cry-assing from ignorant people who got scammed)

Spot on with the DH problem. Sure you can reach same dmg etc, but its gonna take alot more gold and even then you will never be as efficient at farming as barb/wiz.

The AH is viewed as a problem because itemization was revealed to be painfully lacking in depth. With only a handful of desireable affixes, farming gold to use on the GAH is a far more efficient, and far less fun, means of progressing your character.

As for WotB, simply make the CC immunity last for only the base duration of WotB, that is 15s. Make the rest of the WotB bonuses ramp up over 15s. That way at the end of 15s you have the full WotB bonuses except you don't have CC immunity any longer.

Since every barb uses Battle Rage:Into the Fray, making its proc coefficient slightly lower would also make it more challenging to keep WotB active. And without the CC immunity after 15s barbs, would have to consider when is an optimal time to refresh WotB, since they would lose their speed and damage buffs, but regain the CC immunity.

Something dawned on me the other day. When you sub to WoW you get forum access. D3 has no sub so you basically have forum access forever, factoring out banned people obviously.

That means that purchasing D3 (or acquiring a key somehow) basically gives you the ability to troll the fuck out of the official forums without actually having played. It's kinda the polar opposite of the people who claimed they quit and then were "outted" by the armory.

Now I'm not saying that people who quit have worthless opinions, but it does seem more likely that people who are actively playing the game will not go the full-on troll route. So I can only wonder how many of the people on the official forums are 1) just raging because it's the "cool" thing to do, or 2) haven't actually touched the game in months.

It's rather a shame that Blizzard never took action on WotB and Archon from the get go and instead was held hostage by the same morons who claimed that the IAS nerf would make IAS useless. A lot of people get on Blizzard for playing "daddy knows best" with us, but I really think that sometime they need to just tell people to STFU and deal with it because not making those particular changes due to a handful of people who whine over OP things being nerfed... well that's detrimental to the game for the rest of us.

-1 To the video that Archon made.

    To Archon:

I don't know if you're going to read my comment. But here's the response of the DH community:

I think that most of us agree with what "METATRON" said.

nerf everything. Put a cap on archon and berserker forms. And throw a cap on critical hit damage while your at it, or at least a logarthmic curve
Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...

I wouldn't call making a DH worth 10s of billions with a quiver that has 6% Hungering Arrow bonus while you mostly use elemental arrow for dps a good video.
