    Diablo III – Coming September 3 to Xbox 360 & PS3
As it has been hinted previously, Diablo 3 is also coming out for the Xbox 360. And both versions are releasing on September 3!

That's right, Diablo III will be unleashing hell on both Xbox 360 and PS3™ before summer's end, so lock in your preorders with your local retailer soon.

As an added bonus, all preorders of the Xbox 360 and PS3™ versions of Diablo III will include the exclusive Infernal Helm (in-game item only. . .though we have to admit it'd look pretty sharp IRL). Wearable at level 1, the Infernal Helm confers a +EXP bonus to help you whip your new PlayStation™ or Xbox® characters into shape. Plus, it looks sweet as hell on all five mortal heroes of Sanctuary—be it the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Hunter, or Monk. Keep in mind that the redeemable key for the Infernal Helm, which you will find in your preordered console copy of Diablo III on launch day, requires an Internet connection to be redeemed and cannot be transferred across platforms.

Be sure to get your preorder lined up for the PS3™ or Xbox 360 versions of the game and prepare your
thumbs to do battle against the sinister forces of the Burning Hells.

Please note that as the Xbox 360 version of Diablo III was announced today, it may take retailers several days to set up their product pages for this new version of the game. Be sure to check back if you don’t see Diablo III for Xbox 360 listed on retailers' websites.

Awesome. Can't wait to play D3 with my friends who still haven't played it at all cuz of work / studies... Nothing like a friday night drinking beer and playing D3 with your friends. Ps3 ftw.

Does this mean we can expect some non-console related news as well?

I wonder if they added anything new to the D3 console demo ever since PAX, i also wonder since loot is shared and the main focus is on local coop for D3 console if this means there will be no other forms of multiplayer other than local multiplayer (i.e. no lan or online matchmaking for D3 console.)

There is also possible but highly unlikely chance for the announcement of the D3 expansion, I expect it for Blizzcon 2013 in Nov, but who knows, definitely not gonna hold my breath on it though.

Looks kinda annoying have to see the health of everyone in your party, what's wrong with a small portrait in the left corner for all your friends?

I think that's for local party, all 4 players use the same screen.

They are playing on the same screen.

Good to see a release date, sad that is coming to XBox as well. As a PS3 guy, and a blizzard guy, I felt good to see that my fav game developer and console were working together in a partnership for something special. Not trying to hate on XBOX, but it would have really helped having Diablo as one of the starter titles exclusive to PS4 when it comes out.

This is a business, and with a business they are looking for the opportunity for more sales. So mainstream talk will be about the console versions since its fresh, and has toe potential for more incoming sales. Most of the people that would have bought the PC version now have already done so, with that said, now its time to focus on the majority that don't have PC's or the couch co-op audience as you see that is there biggest selling point that is being pushed.

Good Angle, these guys don't make the sells they make because they are dumb.

I will get to try this on tuesday or wednesday depending on what my meetings are at E3. Should be interesting. Anyone else going?

I for one am glad it's coming to Xbox because I wouldn't be able to get it for console otherwise since I don't own a Ps3. Glad I don't have to save up for a Ps3 now just to play D3 on console it'll be here for my Xbox :)

I really dont know who will buy the PS3/Xbox 360 version. As it is stated, all versions will be seperated from the PC version > so no cross-platform function.
But thats what i was interested in. Go to a friend and play our chars from the pc version on a big TV together and have some fun.
I really dont want to start all over again and pay another 50 euros /dollar whatever for it.
Plus end of the year the Xbox one and PS4 will be there and everyone will want to play together on these new platforms. And after the bad launch of Diablo 3 on PC i know many that see D3 as a big flop (even that it was sold so well) and are disappointed from Blizz.
Lets see how well these version will sell. But i doubt it will be a huge sucess.

What i want to know is since the game is coming to PS3 and PS4, PS4 will/should have significant graphical improvments and since the ps3 version already looks to be on par with the pc version...if any major graphical enhancments are made for ps4, will they be ported over to the PC as an 'ultra' setting for those who could run it? if PS4 doesn't have any major graphical enhancments over the ps3 version, why bother with a ps4 version at all?

Because a lot of people will buy PS4 and will want to have games run on it.

I will.. and will move to PS3 leaving all PC experience behind me :)

Purely because there is no AH!! and I can play with my buddy on gaming nights :Thumbs Up: sweeeet

and pvp might be actually a bit better, as there wont be that many players all with the same super awesome gear all looking exactly the same killing me within 2 sec from spawn :bleh: AH ruined it all

    Overnathe

When we will have section in Forum for console version of the Game?? I think there should be one to get all info together and any Questions/Answers that ppl have (like me ;) )

Well since console version is supposed to be shipped with improved itemisation, at least, it means that 1.9 is due before september. Good thing to know.

But I wonder who'd buy the ps3 version since there is no retrocompatibility between ps3 games and ps4.

You sure it will be shipped with Itemisation? When did they say that?

I will get it on Ps3 1st then trade in my PS3 and copy of D3 and change for PS4. I think the characters etc will be saved on the Blizz server and not locally (almost sure it will be done like that) as otherwise it wouldn't make sense to get characters to 60 etc and then start again, They would shoot them selves in the face by doing so :hehe: and no one would buy PS3 version

I kind of expected that Blizzard would do something similar to how Valve did with Portal 2 where you can integrate Bnet with your PSN account or something. But hey, if it means getting offline play, I'd be happy with it myself. :)
