680% Magic Find Cap in 1.0.8
The current Magic Find cap is still a mystery for many players and Vaeflare clarified today that right now it's 625%, but in Patch 1.0.8 it's increased to 680% through various gameplay changes.

Starting in patch 1.0.8 however, the Magic Find bonus from shrines will be able to exceed the “soft cap” of 300% that players can achieve from a combination of their own gear and their follower’s gear. In patch 1.0.8 we’re also adding a buff to multiplayer games called “Strength in Numbers” which allows for a 10% bonus to Magic Find, Gold Find, and experience per additional player in a multiplayer game, up to a maximum of 30% in a four-player game. The Magic Find and Gold find bonuses of this multiplayer feature can exceed their respective 300% cap as well.

So after patch 1.0.8, if you have 300% Magic Find from your gear and your followers, have 5 stacks of NV (+75% MF), are playing on Inferno at MP10 (+250% MF), have a Fortune Shrine buff active (+25% MF), AND are playing a four player multiplayer game (+30% MF), you can hit the maximum of a 680% bonus to Magic Find. Shiny!

Keep in mind that this cap will be lower for if you aren’t playing on Inferno and/or aren’t using Monster Power level 10, etc.

    Inspiring Presence Back to 2%
Barbarians' passive skill Inspiring Presence got buffed to 4% in the current PTR, but evidently it's going back down to 2% since players report it makes every kind of life regeneration obsolete.

In a future PTR build, it will return 2% of your maximum Life per second instead of 4%. This is being done to keep it in line with other Life regeneration skills.

So the MF bonus from multiplayer isn't multiplicative? Then it's still more efficient to farm solo...

Dude, baby steps. You cannot expect Blizzard Developers, the best of the best of all game developers with years of experience making Diablo 3 one of the best PC games of all time, with a record number of sales and pre-orders in the first week, and probably voted the best game of the decade and possibly century, to release all of the best content and requested features to make the game better for group play and encourage friends to play together. That would be taking away resources from...all the other Blizzard projects because the 3 monkeys doing the development for Diablo 3 all circle jerk one another and have no clue what makes a good game, let alone a good ARPG.

what the hell I thought the 30% multiplayer buff is scale to the overall mf
    300% + 75% + 250% + 25% = 650% x 130% = 845%

Only the multiplayer exp does. Glad to see IP back to 2% although they didn't say if it's for the whole party or not.

They probably are afraid of letting MF run wild with its repercussions to the economy. Maybe after the itemization update they'll have sorted all that out.

Changed the Blizzcon ticket sale to the US post, which means tickets are on sale today for the US.

    Release the patch already!

MF is too prevalent and has too large an effec, IMO, anyway.

Stop dicking around and just kill MF off. It is not interesting, it is not fun, it is a seed of chaos which mangles so many aspects of the game. Work on monsters, work on skills, work on PvP, work on crafting, STOP WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME TRYING TO FIX MF.

Well then this is crappy. Changed IP back to 2% , Which normally i would be gald but we all know they are nerfing WoTB ToC rune. That 4% Made up for it due to the fact that alot of people use WoTB to Survive MP10. Instead - they should have gave us 4% and remove the "Grants to all party"

Spent the last 2 days playing around with builds without WoTB in and still be able to farm MP 10, Have a decent build i am enjoying right now so hopefully it will hold up. I die sometimes and i have quite crazy gear. ( 407K dps , 81K hp ) Feeling bad for the people that dont have a 3 billion + gear set

You just say that because you play as a barb. Try imagining being in someone elses shoes, someone who plays with a barb. A change like that would be bad for them.

Why? Because you think MP10 is necessary to have fun? It's very selfish to believe that everyone who doesn't have what you have aren't enjoying the game.
