    Give Blizzard Your Density Feedback
Blizzard is actively listening to player feedback from the PTR about the current density changes. Some have reported Acts 2 and 4 are still slightly behind.

For example, why do you feel that "Act 4 is still unplayable"? Is it because of the density of white mobs? Of Elites? By comparison, in what area do you feel that monster density is a good place?

Having that kind of detail puts us in a better position to make meaningful improvements. You might always want to contribute to this thread with your observations: http://us.battle.net...opic/8569308335

Keep up the good work, I apologize that I came off hostile. I was disappointed.
I look forward to the adjustments, honestly.
Aww, yay! Thanks for checking back in. :) Really appreciate it.

How to Make Shields Viable Again?
Shields were great when all classes used to require a lot of survivability at the start of the game, but have fallen in usability now that damage is the primary thing looked for. Jt3z has created a topic on Battle.net where he collects ideas from the community about how shields can be made a viable item again.

The role of a shield is that, if you feel like you're taking too much damage, you can put it on and take noticeably less damage, and shields right now are fulfilling that role well. Also, while we know that shields aren't as sexy since we toned down the difficulty of the game, they do still provide a lot of value to Hardcore characters and are useful to players who prefer a more defensive play style. Even so, we're interested in ways to make defensive stats in general more appealing (and shields as a part of that), without returning to the early launch days when everybody was pigeonholed into highly defensive builds.

Along those lines, we're always looking for good critiques and suggestions for the game, and there's a lot of great feedback in here, so I'll be sure to pass this along!

    Disconnecting From Being Idle
Vaeflare explained on the forums why the servers disconnect you if you're inactive for 15 minutes.

We prefer that if players are in games, that they are actively participating rather than sitting idle for them at-length. To avoid being kicked from your game due to inactivity, I’d suggest just trying to keep active in Sanctuary for a bit.

That said, I wish you luck in your achievement hunting, Alenynn! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that your rare monster will still be at the ready for you and your husband once he gets home.

You may also be relieved to know that we’re also working on fixing numerous achievement-related bugs, so keep up the good hunt!

Of all the meaningful posts I've ever made Vae, all the topics I've desperately wanted a real Blue response to, you have to actually call my bluff and comment on this one?! =P
I don't know how I feel right now...sad, and yet laughing my butt off. =(
Well I do appreciate that you jumped in and addressed another player's question (yay community!).

It was simply an amusing bonus that you concluded your reply as you did. ;)

    Community Commentary: Random Hardcore Challenge
A great topic was created on Battle.net by user Narull, who suggests a random Hardcore challenge! It brings quite a lot of "random" into the game and looks to be very fun by the feedback he's received!

The concept of the challenge is to play Hardcore mode with a randomly determined class, gender, name, and build for as long as you can. Narull mentions that you can use the Auction House with gold you've acquired normally, but some players suggest playing with self-found items only or turning up Monster Power for a more challenging experience.

Sound intriguing? Let us know if you're joining the challenge (or some variation of it), what character you're using, and how far you've made it. Experiences will vary, so be sure to share them!

I can see what you see not. Vision milky, then eyes rot.
When you turn, they will be gone. Whispering their hidden song.

Then you see what cannot be. Shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind. Cast down into the Halls of the Blind

Add min/max/elemental damage rolls to shields (smaller than off-hand mojos/orbs, natch). I think they need to rework the whole dual-wield/two-hand/sword-board thing, anyway. They screwed it up terribly in D2, the "solution" in WoW is pretty ham-fisted and spotty, and other developers can't seem to get it right, either. Dual wielding w/ double emeralds is particularly bad.

Eh...Shields are NOT viable?.........Eh yeah sorry i have to say this is totally not true. As a S&S barb ( Sword & Shield )
I'd say that shield are very viable. Having a BiS Stormshileld makes you a total brick wall ( 10% to Critical strike chance 34% Block )
Who says 10% Crit chance is nothing? My barb is rolling at 371k dps Buffed and i die mabye once every 5 MP10 farming runs from that 1 crazy elite pack combo everyone seems to get now and then.

Dont belive me, Look at this dude http://us.battle.net...56/hero/1213081 rocks 570k DPS when hes buffed.

Open your eyes please. Barb and Monk can use shield perfecty if you know what build your setting up, Some monks out there are crazy when they rock a Stormshield for that 34% block chance. But hey if blizzard wants to make us shield using dudes OP then thats fine i guess lol

The problem is you need a BiS shield. You need to give people who can't find or afford a perfect Stormshield a reason to even bother looking over a rare shield. "Oh, shields work, if you get a 10% CC and 34% block Stormshield" doesn't help.

I agree. When shields would be a viable part of that classes play style, shields are needed, and thus become viable again. :)

    Easy logic! :D
