TryHard: New Crafting Items Guide
TryHardEnmity has created a guide for the new crafted items added in patch 1.0.7. He goes through fastest way of getting them, the potential of each item and crafts a few of them to show just how random they may get! You can also drop a comment in his dedicated thread located here.
Favorite Skill You Don't Use
I’d love to find a way to get Hex - Angry Chicken on my skill bar. This might be easier in Normal mode, but my Witch Doctor is Hardcore and would need to replace Horrify – Stalker, and I really like having a "get away from me" option. Angry Chicken sorta does the same thing, but it’s slightly less effective and doesn’t have the speed boost. Maybe once my gear gets a little better. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
What is Your Run? I prefer farming Maghda for the crafting plans. Start on the City of Blood/ Lair of the Witch quest, pop over to BCM for quick 3-4 NV stacks, then from the Road to Alcarnus WP to Maghda's front door you're bound to encounter another 1-2 elite packs to top yourself up. Takes less than 10 min per run, could be done even faster if you're running on low MP setting.
This is the run that I am currently doing, but my personal goal is to get a crafting plan from every mini boss, just for kicks. Maghda has been a little reluctant to drop the plans for me, but I am running it with no Monster Power for now. How many plans have you all found by farming? (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Poll: Which New 1.0.7 Recipes Are You Going to Craft?
This week's poll asks which of the new crafting items are you going to be trying?
Each of these items have an item level of 63 and feature six affixes, including a fixed core stat that can roll at the highest range available in the game. Not only that, but the items are account-bound, which means they can only be acquired through normal gameplay. (That's pretty sexy, if you ask me.)
Are you planning to craft any of these items for your heroes? If so, which ones? Feel free to select multiple options if you plan to try your luck with more than one recipe!
Interesting, I didn't think of farming Maghda that way. At the moment I just farm Cydea and Azmodan in the same run.

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"

If you're killing those two then you might as well continue on and knock out Izual and Rakanoth while you have 5 stacks now that it persists through acts.

You know what? that's a fair point!
