    Damage Reduction Considered for Dueling
Feedback from fans has prompted Blizzard into introducing a form of damage reduction for dueling, that is yet to be implemented. No additional information for now.

That being said, we are considering some sort of damage reduction and we are looking into some possibilities on how we can do this without compromising the PvE gameplay. Dueling is not intended to be a core gameplay experience though, so we don't want to create all kinds of extended systems or complex restrictions just to regulate and/or balance dueling. So if there is a chance that a potential change or adjustment will negatively impact PvE gameplay, then we will not implement it, so it is possible that only minor adjustments will be made in the end without big changes to the system.

What Mob Density Options Would You Like?
What monster density options would players prefer if such were added to the game?

except monster density....I'm so sick of act 3.
Wyatt: Unfortunately increased monster density in Act 1 and 2 in Inferno difficulty did not make patch 1.0.7. It is absolutely something we would like to improve, and it is still on the list for the future. I spend most of personal play time in Act 3 as well: Keeps 1, Core, Tower, Bridge, Fields. It's a matter of degrees, it'll never all be balanced 100% equal in all zones everywhere you go - but they need to be comparable within a certain tolerance, and we're definitely outside that margin right now.

As you can maybe gather from this, we totally would like for people to feel that they are able to farm any Act they wish without being worried about efficiency, and we are looking into various ways to make this happen. We are not yet able to share any specifics in regards to what exactly is on the table though, but we will of course let you know as soon as we are able.

Feel free to post your own thoughts the kind of "mob density options" you would like to have in the game, as such feedback would be helpful to us :-)

    Multiboxing - Legal or Not?
Multiboxing has been a heavily debated topic among Blizzard fans. The rules are actually quite specific.

It is an issue if and when multiboxing automates gameplay, but as long as the player who is multiboxing is the legitimate account holder on all the involved accounts, and as long as all the characters being played are 100% under the player's control without any kind of automation involved, then we are okay with it.

Edit: Removing the air plane analogy, because looking at it in retrospect, I can see that it wasn't really very accurate. Please look to my next response for further clarification: http://eu.battle.net...82768?page=2#25

Again, the question of whether or not multiboxing is permitted is a very hard one to address.

You are free to play more than one character at the same time using more than one client at the same time, but each character must be played the same way you would play a single character normally in a single client. This means that one character must not react and perform actions automatically based on actions performed by another character. You can send commands and instructions to multiple characters at once, which is fine of course, as long as each action performed by each character is a result of direct player interaction and player choice.

Multiboxing characters must be controlled 100% by the player!

Edit: Edited the post for clarification purposes.

Poll: Are You Going to Use the New Dueling System?
Many, many players have requested a form of PvP in Diablo 3. How many will actually be trying the newly introduced dueling? Click this link to cast your vote and see how the results are shaping up so far!

So, is this new feature something you plan to take advantage of once patch 1.0.7 is live? Are you eager to duel your fellow Nephalem to the death, or is it just not your cup of PvP? Let us know by voting below!

This is correct. While it might be a futile request, even with the ability to submit more than one post, we encourage players not to spam the thread, but instead contribute thoughtful questions which they feel the community would like to have answered. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

"Ask the Devs is Just a Poll Test"
Or it's a genuine attempt to begin rebuilding the relationship with the community. It's a first step, so it might not be a perfect system right away, but we're willing to make the effort and improvements along the way. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

    Gold Spam Requests Going Down?
It's probably because of this: http://us.battle.net...opic/7591982115

We definitely feel that more improvements can still be made, but it's good to hear that you're already seeing positive results! (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

The First Step Towards More Act Play
In patch 1.0.7 Nephalem Valor will persist between Acts. This is just one of many possible features that should provide some incentive for some players to farm areas they normally don’t. I know I will personally see Act 4 a little more as a direct result, but we're still seeing how it's being received by players on the PTR before we have a good idea on how much it’s helping. That said, Nephalem Valor persisting through Acts is just one step, and there are still lots of options and ideas we are exploring to improve this part of the game. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

I love this line, because you can just see the thought process behind it. "We know Jay fucked everything up for us, and we're trying like hell to fix it." Sure, Jay may be working on a new project, but more importantly he's put behind closed doors away from the community where he can do no more harm, or remind anyone of the harm he's done. And yes, I know the F that loser was essentially behind closed doors, but what's done is done.

Basically... Blizzard's been served a record sized helping of humble pie. And it's a bit entertaining to watch them desperately try to win back support. Seriously. It seems every day there's a CM posting saying: "Tell us what you want us to do!!!!" lol

Still enjoying the game though, but their public image is crap right now, that can't be denied. Their next director better have a natural charisma score of 18.

Why are they so stubborn about separating PvP and PvE "rules?" That's how it should work! In WoW, they finally figured out that CC needs different rules against players, they added separate gear, which is a round-about way of altering the "math" between the two modes. So why are they so insistent in not learning what works in WoW? If you go into a duel or (heaven forbid) the arenas, there should be disclaimers saying "things are different, here's what's different, enjoy." Stop making the game worse for everyone w/ your idealist purity crap. PvP and PvE have to have different rules. GET OVER IT.

That doesn't work in WoW. Complaints are still plenty from both sides. Only crowd control durations are changed on skills and pvp power is damage mitigation/damage balance. All normal skills are adjusted to balance both with just one version of the skill and quite frankly there are lots and lots of people that complain about this every day. At this point it's just hard to sometimes distinguish if some skill change is for PvE or PvP.

We don't know that they're still stubborn about that, it remains to be seen what happens to real PvP. Dueling on the other hand was never supposed to be more than "take your characters and beat eachother up", same as in D2. It was a late addition to satisfy the players who just wanted to be able to make their own PvP metagame while true PvP was delayed. They don't want to get bogged down promising to balance dueling and spending months making tweaks trying to accomplish that.
