Patch 1.0.7 is currently in development and now available for testing on the PTR. To learn about all the latest changes, please see the official PTR patch notes. For information on how to participate and copy over characters, read on below!
How to Participate:
To participate in the public test, you must have a Diablo III game license attached your Battle.net account that’s in good standing (i.e. it hasn’t been suspended or banned). While the 1.0.5 PTR is only available in English, French, German, and Korean languages, accounts from all regions are eligible to participate.
Step 1: Create a PTR account by logging in to your Battle.net Account Management page. Select your Diablo III game license, and then click "Create a PTR account."
Step 2: Download the client from the Diablo III landing page, or from your Games Download page in Account Management.
Step 3: To play on the PTR, simply launch the PTR client and log in normally. You will be connected to the PTR server automatically.
If you've installed a PTR client already, you should be able to patch up to the most recent build. Patching up to the PTR client will not effect your retail client.
The option to copy your existing Diablo III characters from your live account to the PTR will be available and can be done directly through the PTR client. However, only one region per account can be copied at a time. So, if you choose to copy characters from your account in a different region, any previously copied PTR characters will be lost.
Step 1: Log into PTR client and create a level 1 character. After you're done, return to the main character screen.
Step 2: Click on the "PTR Copy" button located in the upper right-hand corner. (The PTR Copy button will not appear in-game until you have created a new level 1 character.)
Step 3: Select your region.
Step 4: Click "Copy." This will copy all characters on your account from the selected region.
Step 5: You will be disconnected from the PTR client.
Step 6: Log back in. Your copied characters will be available for play.
Please note that you can only copy characters over to your PTR account once every 72 hours. Attempting to copy characters before this cooldown is upwill result in Error 395000.
Further details on how to access the PTR and use the Character Copy system can be found in the FAQ. Once you've had the chance to try things out, be sure to visit the Public Test forums to discuss the patch.
As this is a test server, please anticipate uneven game performance, and note that restarts and downtime may occur without warning. We'll provide information regarding extended downtimes, should they occur, in the PTR Feedback forum.
Still wish they would put a notification on legendary drops in your chat box instead of (or in addition to) a ping on the mini-map. I rarely ever look at my mini-map and I never play with the in-game sound on.
This will definitely help WW Barbs and any other class that does speed runs in MP0-1.
For me at least i like the changes.I want to try the dueling factor with my WD(even thought i know i will get my butt kicked ) .It is also nice to see that now we can have more reasons to farm some bosses that we have...erm...forgotten that they exist(spider Queen anyone?).I dont know how good is the change about buffing the experience bonus from Monster Power levels but..meh..Still a welcoming change. Also nice to know about the change about the followers item ilvl. Not only most of the tiem they ahd crap stats, but also they were under-ilvled that they didnt even seemed worthy to salvage em(vendoring is OK but sometimes,u need crafting materials )
