Witch Doctor Budget Guide - 5 Million Gold
Forum "team" Cuckoogaming have posted a nice video guide for Witch Doctors with a starting budget of 5 million. In it you can see how much a Witch Doctor can accomplish with that gold and it turns out you can successfully survive MP7! Check out their thread located here.
In the first video you can see the item selection process, while in the second is the explanation of the builds used and a nice run of Monster Powers 1 through 7.

Also, don't these "budget guides" simply show how poorly itemized this game is?
Diablo is not about finding loot anymore; it's about buying it for the cheapest price possible.
And that's pretty stupid.
TL;DR - You create your own game experience.
Having a 60 from all classes and farming primarily on my Monk I can honestly say I've also made all my other 60s able to farm as well. From only the Monk's drops. Items that would otherwise cost me tens of millions. Parts of Zuni, Chantodo, few pairs of Firewalkers, Vile Ward and just many more legendary and super good rare items. I actually almost don't buy on the AH, but I also almost don't sell. I mostly recycle. And it's been working pretty good for me.
Not that I consider myself awesomely geared or anything. But it feels a lot more like "progression" this way than just buying a few pieces and then just knowing that my chances of finding upgrades to them are 0.0000001% and will happen in hundreds of hours.

Ha. Bagstone.
Yeah, nice effort but the "b&b" pose kinda ruins it for me.
