Hotfix Makes Co-Op Inferno More Viable
In case you missed it, there was a hotfix this week. Most importantly, monsters will no longer gain extra damage in co-op games. So, grouping up in Inferno may be a more viable option now. There were also some bug fixes that nerfed some farming areas. You can check out the rest of the bugs fixed here.
Treasure Goblin Farming Breakdown
We reported earlier about a Treasure Goblin farming spot. Impala has broken down a farmer spot for Treasure Goblins. He has analyzed the odds of possibilities based on 250 runs of the area. From not finding anything to how many rares per hour you can expect. The spot has since been nerfed but with four players, it still works well for farming for rares.
Complete Barbarian Inferno Guide
devlolz666 has posted a very full guide to playing a Barbarian in Inferno. While many can argue that Inferno is much harder for melee based characters, he has made it possible to not only complete but farm Inferno.

Loroese has shared a detailed spreadsheet that helps calculate DPS for a Wizard. You can also use the calculator to compare items side-by-side as well as calculate your EHP. It also includes both Energy Armor and Glass Canon options to see what your damage and EHP will be with either of the skills activated.

I don't really do co-op, though. Too many people rushing through the content and too few who prefer to dungeon crawl like I do. Guess I'll just have to live with the nerf to Treasure Goblin.
lol I am not even going to bother ever going to inferno because of this garbage. I don't care enough about gear to play a dumbed game mode for the casuals. The reason I play co-op games is not for the help or friends bull shit but for the fact that it makes the game tougher and more challenging. Blizzard as usual fucks up something for the trash casuals and made inferno pointless. Yep, that's the point of having different difficulties, to nerf them down and make them easy...
To be honest Faithful, if you are doing co-op at lower than inferno and claiming you aren't going to try inferno because they are making it too easy, then you clearly dont know the difficulty of the game. Its not about nerfing it to make it easier, its about nerfing it to make it possible for all classes, not just heavily resistance geared tanks. Use a damage class and thell me how easy it actually is passed act I. Tell me if you can not die to avoid elites refilling health, if you can get high enough dps to kite and survive but kill fast enough before elites enrage and become invulnerable. See if you can beat an elite/blue pack with invulnerable minions/fast/jailer/anything else, and many other combos. There are literally some mobs in act III and IV with such high amounts of base damage, even with 70-80% damage reduction, you will get 1-2 shotted depending on health levels. If you dont have 4+ million gold items in every slot with ur main dam stat, vit, resis, and life per hit, you pretty much are screwed for many elite combos.
For one, the change to co-op should have been there from the beginning. While it does make sense to increase the difficulty with co-op it should not make it an impossibility to do. A few nights ago I did Hell Whimsy with a group of 4. We hit the first pack of elites. It was pretty much death. We were a group that does not have millions of GP valued gear in each slot. We were attempting to farm blues, or even a glimpse of a rare. Before making statements of...."Trash casuals" attempt things first, then speak.

Co-op is still a joke. If this is the quality of the fixes they're going to provide then we are screwed. Melee still gets one shot on the first pack of A2 inferno (I have millions into my gear so far, it shouldnt be an issue).
How can a solo monk get past this in INFERNO? I passed by this group because I really think it is impossible to do without dying till you need to spend 5 k on repairs. Or if you do it carefully you will get enrage timer and die anyway.
Fire Chains, Vortex, Arcane, Illusionist
I don´t mind hard at all... in fact it is a great adrenaline rush to get through tough mobs, but the 1 mentioned above I just don´t see the point of trying to do it solo or am I wrong.
good to see some real theory crafting going on, too bad I haven't able to play for over a week due to customer service screwing up and getting all my characters and gold wiped
