Unlock #9 - Class Wallpapers
The 90% unlock has just ticked. We have five all new class wallpapers! This means only 10% until the new animated short is unlocked, so hurry!
Spoiler Warning: Though at first glance this just looks like basic info, some more serious spoilers are locked away in "Monster Locations", as well as a few other things such as Inferno level monster stats (even for SK), Locations (where monsters are located). Monster Affixes, oh and, achievements.
Official BradyGames’ Diablo III iPad Strategy Guide
We have a quick preview of the official Diablo III strategy guide put out by BradyGames for the ipad. You will also be able to pick up a physcial version of this guide as well as a limited edition version. Big thanks to bobrock1982 for posting on the forums about the find!
Jesus, those spread sheets make me wonder how hard we are suppose to be hitting @ 60. Monsters with 1 million + HP? Wow

The maximum health potion listed heals for 12,500 health. Assuming there isn't a higher one, you'll probably have around 50-60k health at end game. Which is on par with how Blizzard has worked with WoW. 50k health vs a 15 million health boss. That doesn't seem unreasonably high, 10-12 minute fight perhaps?
So, with armor, you'll mitigate ~30% of that damage immediately. Obviously you'll need further defensive stats to stay alive. Melee classes mitigate a further 30% of damage. That's 60% right away. Barbs (not sure about monks) can further reduce that 25% with a shout and ignore pain 65% of the remaining.
Don't freak out about damage numbers until you see how much your armor defends against at the appropriate level.
Glass cannon wizard pretty much out the window in inferno, I'd say.

You cannot compare this game with WoW though. WoW has multiple classes/spec's that focus only on healing. In this game, there is one spell that heals TOTAL. Also, you can have group size up to 25 in WoW, as in diablo at MOST you can have is four. But we'll see how it works out

i'm pretty sure with tank build and endgame equip those 170k hits will go down to 10-20k, meaning you will survive 2-5 hits, which is fine imho
in the end inferno will all come down to cc, stuns, kiting etc
with high lifeleach you can maybe even tank those mofos ^^
Not knowing exactly what kind of health we'll be rocking at that level, the jump in Min Dmg Per Hit between Hell and Inferno is still astounding. 14K to 170K! So, why don't we just rename Inferno to, "Don't Get Hit. Ever." Good times.
Also, as someone mentioned above, I can't wait to see what kind of damage numbers we'll be outputting in Inferno to be able to take down a 15 million HP skeleton king in hopefully a reasonable amount of time. And, it can only go up from there. Insane. Who's gonna make the first 9 hour video of killing Inferno SK with thorns only?!
the fact that you can interact with the guide (expanding things, clicking on videos) makes this vastly superior to the physical version....too bad this still isn't worth investing in an ipad...thanks for the post!

I do and dont agree.
in a way I think its great that way, faster to search (cause most of the info you dont have to see unless you want to). and of course, the main reason I always love PDF things "SEARCH" big time plus. But theres something nice about a book (and the limited edition one has more info, AND A BOOK MARK!!! =P
