Interesting change to Haunt and Blow Dart, I agree it felt silly to ever want to use Haunt as the BD DPS felt significantly superior. Looking forward to trying that out. So is the Vermin passive gone completely? Is it replaced by something? Hmm.
Bonus points to the slight buff to Spectral Blade, one of the most satisfying skills to use as Wizard IMO.
And again monk gets nerfed while everyone els gets a buff -.-
Seriously I don't get it...
Monks didnt even get nerfed. The only class to get definitive nerfs is the WD. Stop being an irrational baby.
Wizards got their semi-useless skills completely revamped which is awesome. Blizzard and Explosive blast completely revamped / reworked, and a nice buff to hyrda. If Energy twister could get some love than the wizard looks to be incredibly well endowed with useful abilities.
WD acid rain saw some love, but they upped mana costs across the board. Which honestly seems fair, since mana felt exactly like the fast regenerating arcane power. Sucks about vermin though, many builds were based around using vermin. At least Pierce the Veil is better now.
WD took a big hit, higher mana cost and lower damage on alot of skills #bummer
I think the WD needed a re-balancing. I don't think this is a hit at all. It just makes it so your base mana regen is less useful and abilities/gear plays a bigger role in mana regen. Haunt is also actually useful now and Insect Swarm sounds a lot more viable.

My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here. Why do I always realize it When I've already lost it.
And again monk gets nerfed while everyone els gets a buff -.-
Seriously I don't get it...
From what I have read, the Monk is nerf. Though, it is not by a lot. They get in return less cd for their ability, prompt more spirits, and abilities are protracted.
It seems pretty evident it was removed. I can honestly see why, since it mostly amounted to Pierce the Veil except with no downside (since vermin covered pretty much all of the spammable damage the witch doctor had that wasnt the 3 primary spells)
It seems that the passive ability "Vermin" is remove from the game. "Vermin" Your Plague of Toads, Corpse Spiders, Locust Swarm and Firebats abilities do 20% more damage." Though, think about it for a sec before you react negatively. How often do you find your self using Spiders, Toad or Firebats? Most of these abilities are close range, and I assuem you don't want to be at melee range in the later difficulty.
For me at least, I did not use these abilities as much if at all. I might of tried them to see how they looked. Though, I always went with the Poison Darts, Fire Bomb, and Grasp of the Dead.

Vermin was one of, if not the best, passive for increasing WD damage. Unfortunately it caused an age old design problem of balance. If vermin spells were already equally powerful as other WD spells, then Vermin was overpowered. If the damage of vermin spells is lower relative to other WD spells to account for the vermin passive, then those skills suck outside of vermin builds and they are unusable. It's an impossible dialect to balance, and was removed.
Ya Vermin cut sucks for WD's. Looks like some skills got some mana nerf's (going up) but some got damage increases along with the raise. Nothing on the Barb, guess he's set. Wiz got some nice buff's Monk got cyclone nerf'd but in reality it did need to cost less spirit, was a hog, so on the flipside less damage.

My main dps spell was firebats. It hit very hard, and could be spammed almost endlessly while my minions tanked. Frankly it whooped major a$$ with vermin. I am sad that WD mana regen and to some degree overall damage appears to have been nerfed. Obviously some of this came about because of testing by their internal team from farther into the game.
Also, the bit at the top implies all these chat channels are being added?
Thats easily the best and most significant change in this patch then. Thank god.
I still think the change to blizzard and explosive blast were the best things to happen for classes. It shows they know what abilites are lackluster (for example, blizzard and everyone of its runes were objectively worse than meteor runed for comet) and are making efforst to bring them up to par, by just flat buffing them or redesigning there niche.
Haunt looks interesting now, but the bump in mana cost across the board is frightening ^^;;
glad we have a release date now, we won't have to wonder when they'll finish the game with changes like that

Absolutely no DH changes? seems odd.
I think the WD needed a re-balancing. I don't think this is a hit at all. It just makes it so your base mana regen is less useful and abilities/gear plays a bigger role in mana regen. Haunt is also actually useful now and Insect Swarm sounds a lot more viable.
Hungry? Why Wait? Grab a Barbarian!
BLACKSTAFF
Thats easily the best and most significant change in this patch then. Thank god.
I still think the change to blizzard and explosive blast were the best things to happen for classes. It shows they know what abilites are lackluster (for example, blizzard and everyone of its runes were objectively worse than meteor runed for comet) and are making efforst to bring them up to par, by just flat buffing them or redesigning there niche.
I would like to know this as well...adding "playtime" sounds like a subscription to me...no like.
Internet Gnome Rockstar.
Actually, I have no idea.
Approximately 10pm PDT.
Remember how they said certain regions would be given a subscription base system rather than paying for the game in its entirety?
My guess is this is for all the third world gamers out there that have to use Internet cafes to play.
glad we have a release date now, we won't have to wonder when they'll finish the game with changes like that
