just got a weird "i shouldn't look at these anymore" feeling. usually im ok with spoilers but now it feels like I am seeing the entire Act 1. kinda want to distance my self now...
I LOATHE the high level Barbarian armor. There is a point where he suddenly stops looking like a barbarian badass and starts looking like some WoW Paladin or a Korean MMO Death Knight. It is simply not an appropriate look for him.
Soo... is this something that's intended or not? And I thought the Beta only had content for the first few quests up to the Skeleton King. How is it that the rest of the content even exists in the Beta? If this isn't supposed to be accessed, derp Blizzard? :\
Blizzard will not ban you, its a beta. They might ban you if you post how to do it on the forums however.
You can actually be sued if you even talk about being in these areas (like a simple screenshot). The NDA is only lifted for content accessible in the beta. In the purest sense, this unintended content IS obviously accessible, but I'm sure it's implied that you aren't supposed to reveal anything outside of the intended beta areas.
I cant fully understand why people that have the beta arent satisfied with what blizzard gives you? I mean, i've been longing for a beta key for aaaages and even i wouldnt go to those waypoints even if i could. Blizzard didnt want to reveal more then what they have for a reason. I will ignore these vidoes since i feel like we arent suppose to see this before the release. I dont want to ruin the experience of the game when its released. Anyway, thats my opinion atleast. Off to eat, see ya fellow Diablo fans.
It's pretty uncommon for a beta to have so little content. It feels more like a demo. Naturally we're expected to understand Blizzard's purpose for our access to the D3 beta, but it's still a hard pill to swallow once you're in and you've played for an hour or two (I've been in). Not everyone feels this way, but as you can see I can understand why you think it's a common reponse.
I'm spoiled by Blizzard past betas where you get a lot more. In SC2 you got a fully functional (in a beta sense, anyway) multiplayer and custom game. In WoW betas you get access to nearly everything. It's just a big shocker when in this game (especially if it's the one you've been wanting to play the most) you get next to nothing. It's not a BAD thing, and it certainly isn't unfair. It's just painful...sometimes it's better to not have a taste because it's even harder to wait.
I love these videos, b/c THERE ISN'T SOME NASALLY NECKBEARD BLABBING OVER THE ACTION! Note to all Youtube video makers: SHUT UP AND LET THE GAME DO THE TALKING. There are so many terrible Youtube videos b/c people talk over them, and they sound awful. I really, really love these videos, you get a great sense of the sound work. I think Blizzard's sound guys are underrated sometimes.

And I had to be sick just as all the hullabaloo was going on during last night(?). Ah, well. I can go and see what may need adding to DiabloWiki, though.

oh noes... now the game is boring again

You can't lag through the gate anymore. No one has the waypoint due to the wipe. Unless there was a NEW way to get in, it's over.
