I really love the change, I find this alteration perfect for the way i was planning to use the AH. I don't need to put any money and still can manage to make a profit. I found the limit of 10 item listing per week (i guess its per week ) fair enough. This ensure some mouvement tp the pool of item the AH will have but still limit people to post anything they found during their slaying :D. Even if this game is taking way too long to come out im pleased with the change blizzard has make. I really think the wait will worth it
Alright going back to the shadow where i belong (I.E reading post as a lurker xD )
I will definitely be more apt to use the RMAH now. When they first announced the feature I thought it was a bold, potentially brilliant move, but something I wouldn't bother with as a casual player. I'm super intrigued to see how it plays out, but more importantly I gotta believe we're a big step closer to release.
I think its going to be really interesting to see how the beta resolves real reserve currencies with Beta Bucks. in some ways what they are doing is turning their Gold into a true global fiat currency... people might focus a lot on the rmah on release but it might be an interesting tactic to amass gold on launch and wait for the whole thing to stabilize.
Anyone else all giddy because they even say in their latest blue post that to 'make sure all the systems and changes included in beta patch 13 are working properly' ? To me that's awesome, this means (even though the chance was slight) that this ISN'T just another bug fix patch =D
Working through the weekend...that means over time being paid. Which implies being on the clock to meet a deadline. This is the more impressive news than the AH changes. Although they sound good too. Id rather hear how blizz is busting ass to get their s together for launch. And that is what they are saying.
To ensure that all systems and changes included in Beta Patch 13 are working properly, we've decided to take some extra time to continue internal testing. As a result, we will not be releasing Beta Patch 13 today. We will, however, be working through the weekend and look forward to delivering the patch on either Saturday or Sunday.
Thank you for your patience! Should any changes to this schedule occur, we'll be sure to provide an update in this thread.
I'm pleased with the AH changes they've decided to make. Like they've stated, it should make for a cleaner RMAH experience. Finally, something good has been done.

Salaried workers don't get overtime - they're required to work as long as is needed to get their deliverable finished. (And on the flip side can work less than 40hr/s a week and make the same amount of money if they finish early)
Well seeing that the runestone and skill systems are all we waiting for......and we are getting them now means that we are in the home stretch. Wonder if we gonna get another video from Jay??
Im pretty sure all the frustrating waiting is coming to an end...
Soon** we will be heroes of Sanctuary now!!!!!
I think this will be last BETA patcha that will introduce system changes. Thats the reason why they let so many people into beta at time point of a time.
Good change. It's good to have a minimum listing fee and limit the number of listings for an individual account. Auction with real money bidding for items sometimes can be quite tricky if not handle well. Players might still have other ways to go around the system to try to earn as much as possible. So i still think that will be more tweaks to the auction house system once it's up.
Kudos for the diablo 3 team working over the week and have a great weekend to all. Cheers.

You may be right, I hope the game is released soon. And I want a beta key as well. =P
Good luck Diablo!

If that is the case it must suck to work at Blizzard
I am almost sure that their development and testing teams are not salaried. Can u imagine a development team being salaried... Either way when a salaried member of management has OT to put in, it is always because they are on a time schedule and meeting a deadline.
I know it's early and the info is still changing, but i highly doubt i will use the RMAH. I'm a little put off by the whole idea actually. Was the purchasing of items that bad at the height of D2? I certainty don't remember it being an issue. Or is this simply a way for Bilzz to make some cash (you know....for server costs and whatnot)?

Oh, certainly for money. But they also believe that it will prove to be a much better and (safer) service to their customers compared to the "item for RL money" experience of D2 where you basically were left to fend for yourself.
Im a bit confused with this auction house and how its going to function, with both a ingame currency and a real money option. does that meenthat players have the option to earn RT money in the game, or just that you have the option to buy currency and use them on the auction house for buying stuff, in that case, why does blizzard state that you have 2 options when auctioning items? What is the point and how does it work? are we going to be able to transfer money to our bank account, and if not, why should one auction it off for RL money? i hope i made some sort of sence, just got confused after reading on the official diablo 3 site...

So not too much of a delay.
And on another note, things are starting to get heated
