I don't really think they're trying to "fool" us. It's good that they're not throwing out end game content for analysis, I think they're just trying to get the message across. I, for one, am competely psyched to see the graphics and end game in act 3 - 4. Gonna be epic!
While I'm up for the challenge, even more so now then back when I played d2, it did provide some troubling info. Like the remakrs about "died almost instantly to AoE". That isn't really fun. While I'm sure there are ways to counter it via kiting, traps, what not. I just don't think mechanics like that are good for any game.
There is a reason why WoW stopped doing most "instant kills" in ways like that. And its a lesson I think d3 should employ. Though its hard to judge it completly off of just a statement. But it makes it something to watch and hope its not in the most direct meaning of the statement.
This isn't going to be something they are proud of before the game comes out, realize that casuals don't like dieing, then make it easier right :(?
It is people like you that are responsible for the long release date, Blizzard putting extra time to adjust their games for both casual and hardcore gamers. Yeah my thoughts exactly! I guess we don't know the exact difficulty that was played in that vid...if that was Inferno or even later on in Hell, it's fine, but if that was Nightmare or even early Hell, casual gamers will cry...they'll die like constantly in the second difficulty and that's definitely not catering for the large crowd of casual gamers, they'll die and complain.

the point of an increased difficulty is not to make the game impossible but force you to employ strategy while slaying. i hope it's hard and it stays hard. whoever said "one hour boss fights - do not want" you are deaf, because he said they spent one hour wiping on the boss, not the boss took one hour then they wiped. they could've had 10 attempts in that hour.
casuals stick to normal. you can experience the whole game there. the rest of us will fight for the prestige and gear in the higher difficulty levels.
A bunch of people saying "the game we made is great ! believe me !" is so pathetic and it sickens me. It only makes me feel i've to believe D3 is good because NOONE EVER PLAYED IT. It is also insulting of our inteligence: what game developer wouldn't say their product is great ?

Bring in some pro well known gamers who have a reputation and can actually game, get them to tell me they're getting stomped, and maybe then ill think about believing it.
