In Diablo III we want at least some boss fights that aren't defined simply by having a creature with more health, unique art, and more powerful abilities. We want there to be something more to them, tell a story, have more unique mechanics that make sense for the boss.
Blizzard is attempting to make each boss fight an epic experience for the player. They are adding damage states, strategy, and special kill moves to make each boss fight an invigorating experience. We have already seen some amazing battles with Thousand Pounder, the return of King Leoric, and the gigantic Siegebreaker Assault Beast from the gameplay trailers. All of these fights have shown signs of improvement on how Blizzard is handling boss fights for Diablo III. We can assume that the bosses at the end of each Act are going to be even more exciting and action packed than the bosses previously shown. Nothing has been revealed yet for these legendary fights but we do know that the Diablo team is hard at work on them.
Diablo III will have four Acts and each one will need a final conflict. We have had all but confirmation that Diablo will be returning for the third time. He has been shown as the three-headed demon and the end of the cinematic trailer. It is also safe to assume that Belial and Azmodan will be in the game.
Official Blizzard Quote:
Well, our story tends to focus a lot more on the two major demons and the impending invasion of Sanctuary.
Belial and Azmodan are the two lesser evils who stayed in Hell after the Dark Exile of the prime evils. They are also the only two Evils left who have not appeared in the two previous Diablo games. Belial has been confirmed for Act II and it is anyone's guess were Azmodan will appear.
This leaves us with one more Act without an ending boss. There are several possibilities on who the last boss could be. There are pictures of an arachnid-type creature labeled the Mistress of Pain. There is also the popular theory that Tyreal has been corrupted and may turn on the very people he tried to save. There are also other well known figures in Diablo lore such as Lilith, the mother of the Nephalem and Andariel. We could encounter Lucion, her brother. Both of these Demons are the children of Mephisto. There is also the possibility of players fighting Angels in Diablo III. Possible Concept art of Imperius, who was well known to be oppose to the humans living in Sanctuary, have been shown.
Who do you think we will be fighting at the end of each Act?

I wonder if they'll do something like have bosses fight differently depending on characters/builds. Like king leoric might laugh off poison damage. You can't poison a skeleton! A frost boss might be able to absorb ice attacks when he breathes in the frigid air around him. Or a boss with a magical shield can imbue his shield with the elements to reflect them. I'm just thinking of bosses having states that it picks just based on what skills the player is using, and make the battles more interestin

I get what you're saying; I think that's a good idea. Would make players have to use different skills to beat the bosses, making us have to adapt and think on our feet.
Even better, I think bosses should be different for each difficulty. The harder the difficulty the more complex the boss....if that's even possible for them to do.
As far as bosses go my guess would be
Act1 Mistress of Pain
Act2 Belial
Act3 Azmodan
Act4 Big D
I could also see the others you mentioned as minor bosses or even special hidden bosses (which I personally think would be awesome).
I imagine Imperius is going to appear in the story line since Tyrael is going to be a main focus of the story. I don't think we will fight him though, my guess is he will be saved for the expansion. From the books he is just too damn powerful to be randomly thrown in with D on top of it; I don't think it would do justice. He needs his own game and own storyline.
I don't know. It sounds too cheese for my taste. Besides, is that even possible taking lore into account? I haven't read any of the books. (Yeah, I know it's Blizz's world and they can do what they want, but maybe something is mentioned in the books about Demonic Fusing or something).
Lucifer (The Devil) has 3 mouths in The Divnie Comedy. That's why I think the New Diablo (if it's indeed him) also does.
Hasn't Blizzard said that Belial won't be the second acts final boss, but he will be a boss within the second act?
And hasn't King Leoric been announced as the first acts final boss? I'm not to sure on that one but I think thats right.
Act 1. King Leoric
Act 2. Can't really think of anything, but could be desert based
Act 3. Azmodan or Tyrael
Act 4. The Big D, B and M all fused together to make one big S.O.B.
I would also like to see in the game apart where you get to play as Tyrael and what you do there desides the who the act 3 boss is and the ending of the game. If you do well you will fight Azmodan, if you screw up you fight Tyrael. That's probably a crap idea, but it could work well into the game
King Leoric is a boss but not the final act boss. Belial has only been confirmed to be in Act II, it is only an educated guess that such a major character would be an end boss.

Ah yes, i must have read the statement wrong. Yeah then most likely it will be Belial as the Act 2 boss
as the act 2 boss you mean the big bad boss of act 2? because if you haven't noticed every act has a few bosses or maybe more we don't know about. But as the big bad boss of act 2 it will be Belial as they confirmed. And as Jay said there will be a lot more in act 3 i was thinking that it probably will be Azmodan.
Thats exactly what I thought. Mistress of Pain would be a great Andy replacement
Then after we once again kill Diablo in Act 4, Sanctuary is saved but there is still unrest as the Angels have finally had enough of this nonsense and want to get rid of Sanctuary once and for all so we fight Imperius and possibly Tyrael in the expansions.
mistress of pain is the act 1 boss? And no angels probably are tired of the nonsense but they probably wont try to destroy sanctuary. tyrael is just probably corrupted but i thought skele king was big boss but guess that was just he was a boss at a place in act 1
please answer this question...mistress of pain is the boss in act 1?
I would say mistress of pain as a major boss for two reasons. 1.) the detialed concept art 2.) her name. It fits in well with the lord of terror, maiden of anguish, prince of pain...

Act I - Mistress of Pain
Act II - Belial
Act III - Azmodan
Act IV - Diablo
Expansion - Tyrael or Imperius or both
Azmodan shouldn't be much more powerful than Belial if they want to make it make more since since Belial and Azmodan are fighting over hell it just makes since and of course theres going to probably be a few other minor bosses in each act
I still think Azmodan is the Act 1 boss, and the Mistress of Pain as just a minor boss. A daughter of Duriel maybe, or something like that.
I think it would be rediculous if the bosses were weaker, in comparison, than the D2 bosses. Mistress of Pain, however important she may be, is not a lesser evil and thus not as powerful as Andariel. Thus, Azmodan must be the act 1 boss for it to make sense. Then the act 3 boss can be Tyrael or Baal/Mephisto.. whatever. But at least someone that is as powerful as Mephisto (the D2 act 3 boss).
Of course act 4 is Diablo.
The Mistress of Pain is Duriel's mother and also the daughter of Mephisto.
