This doom conversion is cool in itself but there honestly isn't anything amazing about it (most referring to whoever made the "you should work for blizz" comment). Isometric games are pretty easy to make these days and there are even some programs for that, although the actual idea is cool.

I agree on the conversion, and I do not mind Quake II graphics.
Havent played it but the screenshots look pretty cool. If its as good as it sounds this could be the best thing since boogie boards! Doom, my fav fps and diablo my favorite rpg... godly. eh i better wait till I actually play it though, but if it sucks in gameplay this concept should still be remade better, ill ahve to wait and see. Theres a game called Cold Zero which kinda reminds me of this style, it was a pretty crappy game though imo.

I'm on Ubuntu, it doesn't read .exe files unless under Wine, and I don't feel like tampering with Wine nor restarting to Windows XP at the moment, honestly.
But as far as I know, you don't have much of a choice with .exe files. They either unpack or they don't, at least on Windows.

I could see you get angry and splash a bottle of wine into your hardware, laughing maniacally.
Actually looks a lot better than that now.

unzip, strip, touch, finger, grep, mount, fsck, more, yes, fsck, fsck, fsck, umount, sleep
It's really just something to pass the time with.
But still, looks bad ass.
I use vista too, are you sure?
I didn't try it, but can you run compatibility mode for it?
I'm seriously stuck on this problem now.
It's nothing to get worked up over if you can't figure it out though.
Yea, you weren't meant to unpack it were you?

I don't drink.
I'm not angry.
Oh, I get where you got that from. Wine means "Wine Is Not an Emulator", it's a compatibility layer for Windows on Linux...
K, just hoping you understood my humor. (how someone can confuse wine with champagne, and just freak on their computer) I laughed LOUDLY.
I would LOVE an Oblivion/Fallout 3 styled Diablo 4!
I never played Oblivion. Fallout 3 techniques would not measure up with Diablo.. everything.
