What was the price for the blizzcon 2008 tickets ?
price through blizzard's incompetent, impossible site was $100
price through ebay up to $600 if it included a goody bag or $450 without

Im almost certain i will be attending this year (if i get a ticket that is) all the way from toronto, ontario
I'm also from Toronto and was thinking of attending... but I am hesitant because of travel costs. How do you plan to get to there? Maybe there is a group of Torontonians out there who want to go to BlizzCon and we could travel together to save some money.
As far as I can tell it would cost over $600 for a return flight + 3 nights at a nearby hotel for one person...

I wonder when they will announce the WWI for this year... If they even have one. I wonder what new information they will unveil in August for Diablo III. And it better not be the 4th playable class, because that is way too large of a gap. Hopefully it's the fifth playable class, and maybe Diablo's in-game model
WoW is always going to get the most attention since it's Blizzard's cash cow.
But they should have a lot of stuff about StarCraft II and Diablo III. Hell, by then StarCraft II might be in beta already! And Diablo III should be over 50% complete! HA!
Or they might hand out StarCraft II beta keys there - right before the beta starts.
Yeah you're probably right about WoW still being the main attraction but hopefully SC2 and D3 get a lot more attention. Also I think Diablo is more complete than %50 by now, but that is my opinion.

I might have to disagree with you Blades as WotLK is already been released. Sure WoW will still be a big attraction in the forms of merchandise, news, and tournaments, but I am pretty sure the main attraction will be to sc2, d3, and possibly a new release

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
was just reading that announcement about the design a blizzard theme park.. and reflecting on the prize of starcraft 2 beta keys (and what AcidReign said earlier in the thread about the timing of sc2 beta)
..all means that we can be almost positive that the beta keys handed out at blizzcon this year won't be for d3, right?

I am pretty sure it is for starcraft 2. I still believe Blizzard has alot of work to do on Diablo 3. I am still waiting for them to start the beta for sc2 since i already have one.

you don't think it would matter that they passed out the same keys last year?
they've always been different in the past

That's quite the early announcement, no? They're trying to maximize the hype more than ever before. That's probably also going to be when we finally learn of the other two Diablo classes. Those jerkfaces.

Yep, good ole' blizz to over hype things. But i think they are just going to unveil 1 class though. Last year they only released the wizard FEMALE. I am sure they are going to unveil the male class for the Wizard and one release for a character.

of course they are trying to max hype but another reason for the earlier announcement is probably due to last year's experience.
more people than ever wanted to go and ticket sales were not smooth..
(in addition the event itself was overcrowded)
starting earlier and bigger is a good start i think towards avoiding last year's shortcomings

But c'mon.... Isn't that worth it??
It really almost is...
But if I can figure out how to save a few bucks in the meantime that would help!
Hopefully they can finally focus less on WoW and more on the Diablo and Starcraft franchises.
