The magazine doesn't contain too much new information, however and goes through the typical questions that most of us have asked and had answered by Bashiok on the forums and Jay Wilson in various interviews online.
However, the issue also contains some interesting reading, such as a fanboy vs hater op-ed piece, a column regarding the color/art petition and a Q&A section with some new information about the game. The article also contains a feature on what we know and what we don’t, with some very detailed speculation on the matters.
"Art director Brian Morrisroe comes from the WoW team, and the characters we've seen do share some visual style with WoW heroes. You can see the same exaggerated physique in D3's Barbarian that you do in WoW's Ogre Warriors, and the Witch Doctor looks like a mix of elements from Undead Warlocks and Trolls."
^^Thats the "What we KNOW" part. Dont tell me about what they think. Yeah, tanks will be big and muscular to give the player a tough guy impressions but ridiculous armor parts? The good old (young) Barb from 20 years ago was just so much more kickass when it comes to in-game models. You may call this an opinion but the model was flawless. They shouldnt try to improve it if they arent sure they can make it %100 better. The new art style is really kickass, but they really cant make it as cool in the actual game. Think of what would've happened if the D2 barb would've looked like the barb from Arret Summit. (!?!)
It is "ok", but i expect "excellent" from Blizzard.
Enemies: Yeah, the cultists are perhaps the coolest thing in the trailer (along with zombie-wall ofc.). Even though some say it looks like the WoW summoner, its no problem as long as they make the environment just as cool as the exploding demons. (I look at the "activated vessel", and its total awesomeness. Then i look at the corners of the screen, away from the action, and i see absolute FAIL.)
On the 'Graphics' and 'Environment' parts they only talked about the system and the physics etc. so nothing to argue about there.
I have yet to read the last page, i think the Q&A with Jay Wilson needs some special attention so ill comment about that later.
I wasn't sure that the Barbarian in Diablo 3 is actually the same one from Diablo 2. Jay confirmed it in the article. Oh, and don't tell me you all knew about the loot system! I thought that it didn't change, but instead they tell me that there will be loot reservastion!! The times of jumping on dead bosses in hope for uniques are gone?
Also, I have never seen the Witch Doctor's screenshot while he usese Horrify on the first-level Ghouls ... Lastly, I REALLY hope that the game will be released in maximum 1 and a half years, otherwise it will be shipped while I'm in the army... dammit.
Guess PC Gamer's exclusive just stopped being so exclusive :p
Wonder how game radar got their hands on it heh
EDIT: Dw, figured it out, same company owns the two :p
Wonder why they were silly enough to leak it free online first, only to advertise the "Exclusve" preview so much in the mag heh... guess the digital age is making magazines obscolete
PCG partnered with gamesradar to put parts of featured articles on the site before the magazine comes out. There are still exclusive parts in the magazine though that pertain to the article. But yes they put the majority of the article online to drive traffic.

My goodness, and my fortress, my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I trust…
Am I missing something. I picked up this issue like 5 days ago. I have it sitting in my room as we speak? I liked the read but there was really nothing new. They hyped up this issue with new D3 info but I have seen nothing. I guess I will need to wait

Diablo 3 will be my addiction for another large chunk of my life
Can't wait either Yeah, it wasn't much news there, but i still love to read everything about D3. I'm stil "antifan" of art direction, but that doesn't change the fact that i'm buying this game first day it's released Don't get me wrong guys, i'm just worried about atmosphere of D3. I don't wish it bad.
Anyway, how about your guys? Will you buy the game on first days, or you will wait for some nice edition? I don't buy games, so i don't know about it. But Diablo3 i must have
