Diablo 3 is bound to take alot of ideas from WOW. I mean, all of you can say what you want about WOW, but its the highest subscribed MMO known to man... why not take some of the popular features from the game.
I agree that mantaining part of what made diablo, diablo is important. But I dont believe that an inventory system is nessarilarly one of those things that are so crucial to the gameplay that it would matter to me on if I played this game.

I really like the "damage per second" stat on there (mindmg+maxdmg/2) x Attacks per second
I like the attacks per second stat in general over the Very Slow - Very Fast. Gives Blizzard a lot more room for variability in its items.

"Hide your money ya'll, there's poor people around ... wit ya broke ass"
The one thing that really needs to stay in Diablo is the randomization in items. Even the set and unique weapons and armor and a random +defense and dmg% making it so even if the same item drops for you again, there's a chance of getting a higher quality one.
Uhhhh dude - rare items are WORSE than uniques in D2...
As for the new inventory system - WAY TO GO BLIZZARD!
Actually you are wrong there. Rare items in d2 have the potential to be better then most uniques stat wise. You just have to have the right mods given and it is indeed "Rare" to find one of these super rares
sometimes this spawns with a plus 3 to ele skills and 3 to nado for a total of 6 to nado
I love the new loot system. Each player will see there own randomly generated loot so no one will be racing to get that unique that just dropped on the ground.
Q: With the loot system in Diablo II, the player with the fastest connection often got the loot. Will this change? A: We're changing the drop system. Monsters will drop multiple items, each player will see loot generated for them.
Well the inventory change should be nice, its still not huge so as to outdate the stash and you can just go on like 5 dungeon runs and still have room, but its not so small that you'll have to intterupt your playing time in order to empty your inventory.

I agree with you hear Jackzor, World of Warcraft has OBVIOUSLY taken a lot of advice from the diablo games and I dont think Diablo using WoW to make it that much better is any worse. I think the new inventory system will work well for this game and I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
Anyways great find Kazo, glad somebody can do all that tedious compiling

-My Position on Black Metal: "So you know those annoying kids you see running around listening to crap radio rock bands wearing tripp jeans and shopping at hot topic? Well, Black Metal is just the next big thing... have fun with your trends, I'm gonna stay metal"
Even Scrolls (and i'm sure potions, runes, gems) take up one slot as well. So in some ways this system can limit the inventory compared to the old system.

I don't really care about the inventory too much.
Yeah but I'm sure they will give some items the ability to stack
Edit: Actually... they already HAVE given the items the ability to stack... check the screenshots!

Oh, i got it just now lol. Am i interpreting it correctly? ^^
It means that for example 8 people are fighting against some boss. I'm one of them, we kill him, and there is a DIFFERENT loot for EACH player?? SO it means that it's certain i will get sth? It would be soo cool, coz sometimes you got lag, and you are screwed.. lol.
But how could it work? They will see my loot as well? If they do, then they won't be able to pick any of it? Don't get that But the info is very promising
cheers
Yeah means that different info will be sent to each player's computer. Only you will be able to see and pick up your loot.
I guess it'll either be like in guild wars or like in the mythos beta - in guild wars you can see what drops for the other people but you can't pick it up unless they leave it there for a while. In mythos you can't see other peoples drops at all, which is a bit weird because you still see them go and pick it up
Yeah that would be rather wierd... I personally would like to see thier drops, and be restricted from picking them up than seeing them running around the screen like a freak >_<

I see it being something like the drop system in guildwars. You can see all the drops but the drops that aren't yours are grey'd out a bit and if I'm correct the drops that are yours have a little sparkle around them so you'll notice them better. If you leave an item on the ground for a few minuets without picking it up then the item will go to group loot where anyone that wants it can pick it up. ...just a guess.
Theres still a need for bags as the inventory space you start off with is pretty small but you can make it bigger through bags. Its not like we suddenly have a mega-inventory, just one that, as I said before, doesn't cause choppy gameplay through going back and forth through town ports.

Yeah making a port just to sell loot was a bit annoying, when you just wanna run around kicking some demon ass lol

There won't be Tomes.
Scrolls will stack like keys.
Also.. the experience meter below the skills.
Right between the Health and Mana Globes at the bottom.
