They probably are working on a Diablo MMO simultaneously with a Diablo III RPG
That I can believe, and hope for. It would explain all the posts on Blizzard's site for "top secret jobs" versus "top secret MMO jobs." It would also be logical that Blizz is looking ahead past WoW to keep them on top of the MMO market in 3, 5, or even ten years with a Diablo MMO.
I would also assume that some of the StarCraft II team can now help Team 3 out, since most of their work with StarCraft II is coming to a close (level design, interface, etc.).
Personally, I'd hate a Diablo MMO. There's too many games out there you cannot /definately/ beat y'know? It leaves you unsatisfied and makes you feel like you need to keep going and going and going, it just makes you self aware that you're wasting your time to reach the end when there really isn't one.
Unless of course they make it different than the ordinary MMO that is.
*shrugs* I guess I just like the idea of playing together with friends over the internet at a game with expansions but seperate story lines better than one long grind of wasted time.
Hmmm....Interesting.........I just hope if they make d3 it will be as hard as playing d1 legitly (D1 legit is prerty damn hard I remember a long long long time ago playin with my uncle we got to level 2 and the mosnters there ATE US ALIVE! it was fun and i liked how hard the game was)

This is what happened last year before Starcraft II was announced at the WWI. Keep it in mind for something similar happening within the next two months.
Like most other things you hear about Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, this is purely a rumor until it comes directly from Blizzard. It was grabbed from a Korean site thisisgame.com.
"Starcraft 2 will be announced to the public on May 19th at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitation (WWI).
On April 25th, according to the game company Blizzard Korea Entertainment, it is confirmed that they will announce Starcraft 2 demonstrating it with both videos and images. Furthermore, the developers of Starcraft 2 will be there, and have time to answer the questions.
Starcraft 2 is being developed in 3D and there will be new race and some specific changes to remaining races. Details of only minor parts will be released at WWI.
Blizzard invited more than a hundred of broadcasting teams from around the world for this announcement. Prior to this very secret moment on May 19th, they will not release any information.
However, from the people who previously worked with Blizzard, there is trusted word about this information. A person who recently retired from Blizzard said there is development of Starcraft 2 and there will be an announcement.
The chairman of Blizzard Korea said “we cannot answer anything about Starcraft 2, we will have a new game on 19th so please come and find out”. He refused to answer if new game is Starcraft 2.
The shout caster “Um Jae Kyung” said “I expect it to be very balanced but have concerns regarding E-Sports, but I doubt there will be changes about E-sports in regards to Starcraft I. However, there will be most likely be another league for Starcraft II and e-sports will be much bigger. Since I’m one of the gamers, I’m very excited about this”.
The 3rd WWI will be on May 19th ~ 20th in Seoul, and it seems there will be a lot taking place."
Blizzard has stated!
"We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present."
So May 19th we will finally find out what blizzard has been working on, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, or something totally new.

I don't mean he should have asked, they should have given. A company that makes several million a month can show their appreciation to fan dedication such as his by purchasing the site AND work closely with him and the community more. It's not about the money, it's just the right thing to do from their end. Props to you for giving it away and I'm sure perks will come down the road from Blizzard in some form.
wait i dont get it?
wut about the diablo april fools joke
Well, the Diablo April fools joke goes along with his theory of Diablo being announced at the upcoming World Wide Invitational in Paris next month. The point he is trying to get across is that the Diablo piñata you saw on Blizzard's web page on April 1st isn't just a random joke, it is a clue. Hopefully what I write below this will clear up what his theory is for you.
A) Piñata = Something that is at birthday parties. (In my opinion, I really think this is a clue because out of everything Blizzard could have thought of for an April's Fool Joke, they chose a dumb piñata?)
World Wide Invitational In Paris = June 28th, 29th
C) Diablo II and LOD's Birthday Announcement Dates = June 28th, 29th
D) Not that relevant to the point but also Paris apparently has biggest fan base for the Diablo series
So yeah, basically the point is that piñata's usually represent birthdays and the World Wide Invitational is taking place on Diablo II/LOD's birthday.
lol i think you guys are just trying to reach for things now.

Well, I could even talk seriously and personally about sex without saying something akin to, "My girlfriend and I have had sexual intercourse not once, not twice, but thrice. During these times I had inserted my penis in and out of her vagina and ejaculated accordingly. I gently sobbed afterwards while she held me in her arms. This has all brought us closer together."

Totally forgot about that, now it makes so much sense to why they put that up. Thanks for pointing that out.

That gives you the 'n' with a tilde... ñ.
It's the fact that people smash piñatas on their birthdays to celebrate, and the WWI is being held on Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: LoD's birthdays.
