If we could somehow make this

Well, I have been out and about looking at all the other game websites and I have to say you guys were right. Half the web is linked to this site at the moment (at least half or more the gaming sites). I say Bravo to everyone that put this together!! And also a deep heart felt thank you from myself for all the entertainment and excitement.
Book looks interesting - are the Diablo books actually any good?
I have only read the most recent trilogy from Richard the "Sin War" trilogy and I will say I found them to be great. I cannot speak for any of the others though and it appears this compilation is a collection of the earlier books.
The story of Inarius the renegade angel who created Sancuary is rebooted somewhat from the story that was told from the Diablo 1 text but of the two tales of Inaruis I prefer Richard Knaak's version. A much more full telling for the life and times of a renegade angel.
That's a fair point but when you stack this announcement w/ the fact that they've admitted that they're working on a new game with a development team called "team 3," it becomes hard to deny the inevitablility of Diablo 3 happening within a much narrower time frame than that which happened for SC2.
They also confirmed their unannounced title is an MMO, so if that's the way things are going for the Diablo series, well then, eff the Diablo series.
Unless they pull it off differently. Like instead of the chatroom you have a city, and from the city you can join different games with a player cap. I would actually prefer that.

In response I have read legacy of blood, kingdom of shadow and starting the first of the sin war trilogy: birthright. I can say that the first three (legacy, kingdom, and mels book black road; haven't read yet) aren't connected in any way really. In other words they are all seperate characters, but do have characters from the diablo games pop in them. The ones I've read were very good so far (like legacy of blood the best out of the first series personally; talks about bartuc). Some generic plot lines here and there, but all around good read if you're into the lore and want to know more about it. The sin war trilogy is obviously one continuous story; whereas the first three (legacy, kingdom, and black road) are not. Not bad for the price; only like six bucks a piece since they're paperback. Got the sin wars brand new for less than a 25 with a gift card. Can't say I'm much into fiction either, so guess it's a good sign if I think that they are worthy of reading.
You would be surprised how many times they used that "line" to say there was no plans for a Starcraft 2 game, but will eventually revisit the Starcraft Universe" ... coughs and then they admited Starcraft 2 started development right after Frozen Throne shipped (July 2003) ....
Hasn't it been said that Diablo 3 has been in development since 2002/2003? until Blizzard North was relocated, and the main founders left for Flagship.
It's pretty much been confirmed.
I'm pretty sure that Diablo 3 is announced on June 28th or 29th.
What else would this WWI be for. Just tournaments? lol nty.
I don't think having 3 major games in development, and even releasing at the same time, would be bad at all. I mean, they all appeal to completely different tastes. The WoW thing is only an expansion to begin with, so it wouldn't really fit under the "major game" category in my mind, although that is debatable. SCII is sci-fi, so all the sci-fi minded junkies would naturally want to go after that game, anyway. That would leave us, the romantic (dark) fantasy-loving people, who would naturally flock to a new Diablo game. Just my thoughts

From what I read the D3 (or rather the unnamed game they were working on that a former Bliz North guy said was D3) that was being worked on by the guys at Blizzard North was 100% tossed after Blizzard North was closed. Apparantly the game was not to the main Blizzards liking or something like that.
I would guess that elements of what they worked on must have survived as I find it hard to believe the whole kit n kaboodle was simply scrapped.
And to the thought that if D3 is an MMO then "oh well eff D3", my thought is since I have never played any of the myrid MMO's out there (WoW included) then an MMO Diablo will be the first MMO I will be inclined to bother with!
And if it is an MMO it had best be pretty dang awsome to have me to pay to play. But it will be Diablo. How can it be anything but awsome? Oh yeah...I forgot about Hellfire

Of course not! You can also play the beta of Starcraft 2 and be involved in MULTIPLE tournaments. . . at the same time!
also, there is a Diablo 3 announcement
