Nah..it will be an image of Cain saying "Stay awhile and listen!"
Yeah if that were the case I would cream myself on the spot

I don't see why there would be any problem not just saying the day it would happen, if it's just going to redirect to one of Blizzard's sites and not mean anything more than that.
"we are in touch with the Starcraft fan base but have nothing to announce at this time."
Then announce it. LOL, they were full of shit.
That's totally Blizz! They deny everything.. then go.. hey look at this everybody! It's how they've been with every single game they've released and it doesn't look like they will change anytime soon

Because the owner of this website is loving the traffic while all us patient fans keep "checking the news section" =P

The traffic right now is absolutely normal- usual guest traffic at night (according to where I am) is a little over a hundred, and during the daytime almost or a little over two hundred. That's been the norm for a while, before the whole site-takeover thing.

Or maybe it takes time to communicate back and forth with Blizzard to make the ownership transition smooth? I have emailed a few contacts about some three interviews at Blizzplanet that are still going through Public Relations review/editing. I haven't gotten a response yet.
This is just an example. Please, don't jump to conclusions toward Mockery without knowing what's going on backstage. Saying he is sitting back to see the traffic is very rude with lack of facts to support that.
Communicating with Blizzard nowadays is difficult as they are preparing for the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals which is almost upon them. And on top of that they also have other work to do.
Let's take a look about Blizzplanet's upcoming interviews and how long it takes to communicate back and forth until the end goal:
Interview with Epic Weapons was made a week before the Auction ended. It is been almost two months. Last I heard it is on queue to be posted on the official Wow site news.
Interview with Luke Johnson concerning World of Warcraft RPG: Dark Factions. That one was handed to Blizzard PR a bit over a month ago.
Interview Part One with Aaron Rosenberg and Christie Golden (World of Warcraft: Beyond the Dark Portal) -- it was submited two weeks ago. I can't post any of these three interviews on Blizzplanet, until I get the ok from Blizzard to do so. And usually when they post it on the Official WoW website.
Imagine if people were pushing me to release the interview before Blizzard PR gets to read through it and approves it.
This is the process in which Blizzplanet interviews have been done since October 2007. So I am used to weeks or months of back and forth communication with Blizzard. Things take time. And they are ready, when they are ready. And because things take time, it is best not to say estimated dates -- because you can't always meet a date due to outside circumstances not forseen.
In short, let things move at their own pace. Eventually, when Mockery is ready, he will make the announcement. And it will be in less than a month. Be patient.

Yes, this is totally a Blizzard thing to say.. actually it reminds me of:
“We definitely appreciate that the community has a lot of interest in seeing the Diablo series continue, and we certainly share that desire,”
...
“For now, though, our focus remains on StarCraft II and Wrath of the Lich King. I’m afraid I don’t have any new plans to announce at this time.”
HMM?!
Also, I do wonder if there are plans for an announcement then why haven't we been told so? I do believe they gave notice of an annnouncement before SC2 was actually announced.

I think that quote there was equivalent to the announcement made before the WWI. But I agree with you.
i think it's actually better that blizzard is denying it so far, it dosent seem like there thing to just sit and not saying anything, they would rather mess with you.
How do you talk to them though? Like, with the secrets and stuff? Obviously it involves a lot of people skills. I could never do that, I suck at people skills.
What do you do? Have lunch? Talk on the phone? Ring them up and "Hey, whats up?"

While I do have their phone numbers (cell), I prefer email and Chat. Not much people skill needed to something that flows natural. I have been in contact with them since both of them became Community Managers. Before that, I have been on the Blizzard Fansites Program for five years.
However, don't think I know uber secrets. They have NDAs and contracts that keep them from talking about things. Sometimes I get to know minor things a few days ahead, but I can only prepare the news and release the news for when it is out.
I keep asking them about Diablo patch at least 10 times in the past five months. I haven't gotten a single lead. Naturally, they aren't Diablo community managers and they would have to go through other channels to get that type of info.
Ah okay. Still, even email and instant messaging is hard. Cause its like, what do you say? How do you say it? You don't want to offend them, or sound too needy, you have to choose the words just right. But I guess it is easier because you have time to think between sentences.
Exactly. And they can answer back when they have a chance, whereas bugging him on the phone I might interrupt something they are working on. I would only use the cell/phone if there is an emergency.
There has only been one emergency. I had sent Draiken (who is no longer a Blizzplanet staff) to BlizzCon 2007. I had secured a press badge for him through Nethaera. However, when he got to BlizzCon -- the lobby attendant did not have his press badge, so he wasn't able to enter the event.
Some people who won a BlizzCon ticket through a Blizzplanet contest, also reached me via Chat to let me know of the same problem. This was clearly an emergency. People paid a flight to get there, and they couldn't get inside. I called her, and she was so cool. They got inside less than thirty minutes later. The press badge and tickets were found quick.
On how I approach them, I don't know how to answer. I simply focus on what I need to know. For example, hi (name):
1. Can I bring a MP3 Recorder to the WWI event?
2. What's the status on the Richard A. Knaak interview? (<-- referring to if Public Relations has reviewed it so that I can post it on Blizzplanet).
Yeah if that were the case I would cream myself on the spot
