I doubt Blizzard is so stupid that they forget what it is about Diablo we love. I mean, they do listen to what the fans say, and ALL of them say they want it to stay dark and rugged. And think about this, what if Diablo implimented a whole new way of playing? A hack and slash MMO. Instead of grinding on little mobs one by one, you can run into them like a barb and kill a ton. Sure the xp can be less, but killing a ton of demons for less xp each>killing demons one by one for more xp each.
They can change the way we MMO, grinding is usually one monster by one, make sure you don't pull more than you can kill. If instead you can run into a load of them and spam potions as you kill them all, thats basically Diablo only way bigger and everyone connected. I am completely open to a Diablo MMO, especially if its a Next-Gen. If Blizzard pulls it off right, a Diablo MMO will blow my mind, combining what I love from Diablo and WoW and merging it together.
I will support the Diablo MMO until it is proven to be a bad idea.
MMO are meant to be time sinks, hack and slash MMO's don't exist because they can't last. Look at how easy it is to get rich in Diablo, someone could get very well geared and level 95+ in 2 weeks. All they need to start is some P topazes and time.
Boy, I can't wait for the Diablo MMO day when a Hydra sorc camps outside town effectively locking us all inside. 4,000 sweaty nerds locked in one area because of some hydra.
BUT NO! A hero emerges from the crowd and he has FIRE ABSORB!
I mean I can see it all happening, but the Diablo we know and love just can't be like the MMO of today. In order for there to be a Diablo MMO we would have to sacrifice a lot of our hack and slash.
"Sure the xp can be less, but killing a ton of demons for less xp each>killing demons one by one for more xp each."
That would be the exact same tedious thing as killing single mobs then, sure it would be hack and slash but just as time consuming.
Than again I am not a game developer, or creative enough, so what the hell do I actually know, haha.

No, think about it. Killing many of demons is much funner than killing a few, and you get bored of it slower. And you get alot more excited knowing you can kill a couple hundred demons a day once your godly instead of maybe one hundred.
Lol as long as the monthly fee isent $15.00 im ok it sucks being poor. 2 jobs just to pay bills (im not going to 3):(

As long as its dark, atmospheric and evil, with spine-tingling tunes, im happy.
I like your way of thinkin'. That was why I liked diablo soooo much, it was all about the evil. The fact that you were in some rank dark place with the intent of killing everything in sight. Sorry, I am not one of those that was really to much into being the good guy, hence I play horde more on WoW than Alliance.
A very dark game with the tunes of doom, as in we're doomed not the game. As an MMO I would expect that they would let you play some strange form of demonic characters on the side of darkness, could be wrong just a thought.
The fact is that the game they are working on IS an MMO, so it's either something new or D3. Either way get ready for monthly fees too. I mean okay so we don't pay for this enormous server system they have but can we then expect them to keep it up and running if we don't contribute some funds? Just a thought.

It's not that hard. There is less knowledge in it but more art. But, before you begin, you do need to study Photoshop and study some 3D modeling tool...
Yes, I have my eye on a few different modeling tools and I know I need photoshop and need to get both software programs and get to know them and then add the art to it.

I dont think blizzard needs to make it a montly fee. Their already rich as hell 8 million ppl paying 15$ to them everymonth. I highly doubt all that pays for their bills

I will assume also that paying 2500 salaries is expensive as well as the massive amounts of real-estate they have to have in various countries for Blizzard representation there on top of the extremely massive amounts of top-end computers and servers required to keep their games going.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
If the next Diablo game turns out to be an MMO though... I'm probably going to stick to counsels for awhile.
LOL!
