So while playing the beta you come by a lot of different rare monsters, some with peculiar names that you might wanna check up, so I was wondering what the plans are for adding rare monsters and other named monsters. I don't really what the correct terms for the different types of mobs are and how to structure it on the wiki but I'll unload a few pictures of the kind of mobs I'm talking about.
So these are just a few examples. As you can see there are both the rare (yellow) named monsters with random affixes such as mortar, molten etc. Then we have the even rarer purple named monsters with unique titles. Lloigor the Crazed already has a wiki page, but I believe since they've added more of these purple mobs in the beta that it could be structured better with categories and a template for similar monsters. Both to make it look better and prepare for release. Even thou the current ones, except from Lloigor, seems to be placeholders (no specific abilities, low health, no drops) getting pages up for them wouldn't hurt.
Sooo, I'll let you wiki-people decide on how to actually structure it up. Is it even worth putting the yellow mobs up? I'd say why not? The more data the merrier :).. maybe.
I'll gladly help fill in stuff once the templates are set.
The "Unique" monsters (purple titles) are always found in the same place. There's actually quite a few already in the Beta: Headclever, Sarkoth, and not coincidentally The Skeleton King since he's a boss. Feel free to add information about where they might be located, and what their abilities are.
The "Rare" ones (yellow title) can randomly spawn in designated areas. Some areas they actually can't spawn (like Old Tristram Road normal mode). These will have generated titles drawn from a pool of names. So far we know all the possible names that can be generated, and that there are in fact pools of names for specific abilities (like Molten can get "Vulcan", "Pyros", or "Foulstew") and generic ones, but we don't know how it decides when to use which pool. The least that can be done here is just a list of the names and their association - again feel free to start even with a simple list
You can figure out the names from other places on the internet, like here for example. This is also a good place to figure out the levels of the monsters.
Edit: I realized the Headclever link doesn't have a page yet, but he does have a raw data entry here: http://www.diablowiki.com/Data:Npcs/Headcleaver . Most monsters already have a page but need more information.
Roger! Thanks for the clarification. I'll start adding at least the uniques that I find! Taking screenshots of all other rares that I find so I might get to listing those out as well.
Not having the beta myself and only going from what I've watched on videos and read on forums it seems that the "rare" mob name association is quite a bit more advanced than that of D2. I'm also wondering if it's at all possible that certain titles could also be monster type specific?

So... anyone else killed Zarhym yet except for me?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

That's pretty fantastic. I did not realize that little gem was on the list.
